yes it is there
annoying me a lot

Hmm - 7 weeks since our medical results were received by visa office, still ECAS does not say "Medical results have been received".

I know ECAS isn't very good but has anyone else had to wait as long as 7 weeks? Is this normal?

Wayne.

Now applying for tatkal Passport is not easy. first you have to take police verification certificate and that can be issued ony if any IPS, IAS certifies that you are known to him otherwise you have to request SSP Office for approval and its very tedious to get it done ... Now no police staion can directly issue the verification certificate....reason known to them only..

But I was lucky enough to get the Police verification done in single day. Now tomorrow going to apply for tatkal passport.

regards..

There is option 2 for tatkal, whr u can submit 3 documents with address proof, any 1 shoud have ur photo on it,
U will get pp in 7 days ,fee charged will be 5000.00

passports submitted on 4th june....

Wayne.

Thank you very much.

The spreadsheet is a wonderful work. It's so helpful for understanding the trend, for comparing my position with others, finding peaple who applied in same NOC, from same country/VO, or during same time period. I wonder how much time and effort you gave to prepare it and for continuous updating it!

Thanks again.

I got my Passport renewed from New Delhi Bhikaji Cama Place office under Tatkal, they did not ask for any police certificate, they only needed an affidavit stating the address, since when I have lived there and I have no criminal record, The fee was Rs 1000 for renewal and I think 1500 for Tatkal service, I got my passport in 4 working days. Got police enquiry at my home after about 15-20 days and everything went smooth. My old passport had expired Australian visa as well.
You will get detailed info on http://passport.gov.in/cpv/TatkalScheme.htm
