Thanks Salman :)

The group for international audience isn't created yet. The one we are talking about is New Delhi VO specific. I would definitely announce it in this thread once it is created.

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

You need to send 2 X $490 ($980) for both of you. It can be one draft of $980. You don't need to send them as two separate drafts.
You can also request for that now to speed things up.
Your step children are not required to pay RPRF, whether accompanying you or not.
Best wishes.

Shalom

Thank you very much to all who replied! Thank you Shalom1. I will update once there is another result. Goodluck to everyone and God bless us all!

Hello friends,
Unfortunately, I have some bad news.

I contacted CIC immediately after I received an unfair NER. However, they stuck to their guns and insisted that the decision was final. Even though the decision sounds very ridiculous (telling me my highest education was high school when they assigned me full points for work experience as a physician).

I believe everything in life happens for a reason and since there is no formal appeal process, I have decided to accept the decision in good fate.....life has to go on. Since I finished a masters program a few months ago from Canada, I now have a lot of points to spare so I am planning to reapply in the near future once I gather the necessary documents again.

To the seniors here and everyone in this forum who has offered kind advices and have been supportive, I say thank u. Please you can now remove me from the active spreadsheet.

And one final question, I suppose at this point I will be getting a refund. Anybody knows how long it takes to get a refund after a refusal?

Oooooh no, I'm sorry to hear about your bad news...... :(
I can't believe how CIO is thinking these days....
But I admire your strength to move on and wait for the new rules and reapply again in July(?).
I hope you will get in Canada some day and can have a laugh and a drink when you think about this unfair NER!
Have strength and you will be in our thoughts! :-*

Kind regards,
Louise!

Hi Reynold,

I've done my meds in Dubai. The tests are simple; they check your eyesight, blood pressure, height and weight, take a blood sample to check for STDs, a urine sample and finally an Xray of the chest. After all of this the doctor does a quick physical and asks you a list of questions from a questionaire. All in all you should be done with the whole thing in less than hour. All the best!
