hi seniors,

I hav one prob.
My passport is before marriage n i havnt updated spouse status. Yesterday i went for PCC n they said they wil issue PCC as a single not married n it wil create porb for spouse while issusing visa as i am prime applicant. They told me to re-issue passport.
My question is can i send my single status PCC or shud i re-issue passport n then apply for PCC?
Which option is better coz if i get passport wid normal process im getting appointment in end of july n after tht it will take 40 days.
To apply under tatkal verification from higher authority is required which is not possible 4 me.
Plz suggest some way.

Regards,
kg

They have changed the rules recently and so for ALL changes to the passports, additions, inclusions etc., the only option is to get a new passport issued.

Thanks,

Hi Kg,

Your case is similar to mine and my passport not having her as spouse. I have taken individual PCC's for my wife and for my self . Anyhow you have provided marriage certificate for the proof. Don't worry about that. I have provided the above advise as I applied on November 2010 and rules may change now. Just cross check it.

Krishna

Hi people :)

I have a question to those who have kids in school age and taking them to Canada - what kind of documents from school are you planning to take with you to Canada?

i found this:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/newcomers/before-education-prepare.asp

"It is important that you arrive in Canada with documents that will help schools place your child in the proper learning environment. Bring transcripts (report cards), samples of your child’s school work, course outlines and anything else that will help Canadian educators learn about your child’s level of learning."

What kind of samples of child's school work or other documents?

Hi Mahi1122,

If you dare to think of wrting to the minister complaing the delay about ND VO (by overlooking ND VO) then be prepared to be called for an In Person Interview at ND VO and possible rejection of your application on one pretext or the other, If I were you I would rather post a letter to ND VO asking whether my passports were in safe custody.

I also did write to ND VO as it had was more than 76 days I had sent my passports and my DD was not even encashed, I later on got a call from ND VO informing me my RPRF DD was not to be found, now I have got a new DD and couried the same to ND VO.

Hope my suggestion helps you.

Regards
Bindu

Hi thanks for the reply.. but even the secutiy check shouldnt take 76 days at least in the post 26th june scenario when there is no history of foreign travel. further i have an information that passports should be returned within 1 month or less, as it is the identity of a person. maximum 45 days. if you notice the time lines of the persons who have recently received their passports it is clear that visas are stamped within 10 days from RPRF encashment. i have been advised to write to minister jason kenny regarding the time delay as i clearly suspect that my passports are misplaced . what do you suggest.

Hey guys,

I've been reading up on the forum regularly but haven't had anything useful to post. As an update, I am now back to checking my ecase several times a day, I know it won't be updated so soon but it gives me something to do.

Other than that, I don't know what the privacy settings are for a CIIP seesion but how about someone recording what goes on in one (if allowed to) and posting it on Youtube? I know that the CIIP programs are considered to be immensely useful but they are only available in certain countries. I tried to find something on youtube and the only thing that was remotely useful was http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sa2M4z52HyM

So if anyone can, that'd be great. All the best to everyone waiting!!!

Well Said Rohan, we are hearing more peopls in the forum who calim to have insider info of the ND VO, if this is true then we will soon here another Rajaratnam from ND VO

Sorry mate but CHC keeps their inside information to themselves and moreover your 45 days deadline is a real joke. There have been cases where they have kept passports for as long as six months and have kept the applicant waiting for that long. A thing like a DD can be misplaced but I've not come across a case where they have misplaced passports knowing the legal implications.

Hi guys.. im new to this forum... i seek an advise from you seniors. i have completed my medicals on 22nd march and submitted my passports on 23rd march. my rprf was encashed on the 7th of april and i received the receipt for the same. My ecas is showing inprocess with the medical received time line. i am yet to receive the passports even after 76 days. Any chance of the passports getting misplaced at CHC....? what is the next option please suggest...

Hi Mahi,
We both have more or less same timelines from beginning till RPRF encashment. My application reached CIO on 22nd September 2010(same as yours). PER was received on 25th January. Medical request on 9th March 2011. Medicals completed on 22nd March (same as yours). PP was sent on 29th March. RPRF encashment on 7th April (same as yours). Medicals completed line been added. (same as yours). I am also still waiting for visas. I request you not to get panic and wait for some more time. ;)

Cheers.

We have our CIIP on 21st + 22nd June in London. Although I am not intending to record the whole thing I will certainly be documenting our experience here and on my blog to help give people an idea.

This link points to 'Processing times for Quebec skilled worker applications processed by visa offices outside Canada", this thread is for Skilled workers and not for Quebec Skilled workers"

for Skilled workers the link is here below ( as many of the forum members are aware), but alas there is no time limit defined for Post June 26th skilled applicants.
