My dear friends, I have learned something new from damascus visa office.this VO does not issue any AOR letter and whenever your status is turned into in process in ECAS it means they are sending medicals for you in two or three coming days. one of my friends has received his medicals that were issued 14th april just today he had become in process since 12th April(he has a lawyer of course=the reason for delay).trust we all receive what we anticipate soon.

Dear Alireza,

Thanks for your good news. We have got very the same situation. We filed on October 13, 2010. Could you please provide some more information about the date of your friends file in CIO. I appreciate if I could know the name of the lawyer as well.
I wish that we all get what we are waiting for very soon

Regards
Bahman

Just a question dear Cam

Did you ever get any reply in particular regarding Buffalo from Minister?

thanks
entemaria
I have not read any responses from the Minister's office regarding Buffalo specifically, but here is what we did.
We wrote to him and received a reply which I posted on the thread. We are London applicants and said so but the reply they sent made no reference at all to the points we made about the discrepancy between London VO's processing speed or communication and that of ND and Manila. In fact, the reply didn't address any of the points we made - it just cited "procedural fairness" of first come, first served as the way they process applications, which we all know to be untrue.
We have just written back and made the same points more forcefully giving them the web links to the London site and also this tracker as evidence. We have also asked them to look at our case specifically as we will not make processing time quoted by London for Cat 2 now and we want to know why. It is clear London is not practising in order processing and so we believe there is a need to examine what is going on there with regard to them following the Ministerial instructions.
A change of address that we put onto ECAS 14 days ago has still not been amended although they quote 15 days to change it and there has been no response to our case-specific e-mail to London although it is now over their reply deadline of 28 days.
Terrible communication all round, but we keep hoping.........

Hi Wayne,

Say, I am planning to land in Jan 2012 but my passport is going to be expired in Feb 2012 Just need to ask whether while landing is there any condition that passport validity should be more than One month.

Regards
ekram787

I just has to be valid at the time you land, I think. However, if you're planning to return at all you will need a valid passport for travel.

It may be worth seeing if you can renew your passport early? Although if it involves a new passport number then you'll need to contact CIC.

I think if your husband and sister relationship is genuine, Viktoria, then exhaust all avenues of appeal before re-applying.

Certainly react to CIO with a fax as very soon as possible, in case they return your application (although I hear nowadays they keep your entire application on file if your fail eligibility review anyway).

I've just received a two-pages letter from Cairo visa office dated on April 18, 2011. The letter included a new number starts with B05*******. Also, a half full page of labels of this new number is included. the letter confirmed receiving my file from NS and assigning a specific file number. Also, the letter gave general recommendations to start knowing/reading about Canada and to look for a job. However, the letter mention nothing about any processing time table, fees, or even to send the police certificate which was not included in the application.

My question please is: is this letter my second AOR??
I am confused because I read somewhere in the forum that the letter may include three pages with the last page is an invoice for the fees related to application processing.

thanks in advance
Congratulations
YES . It is the 2nd AOR

I have a urgent question, If anybody can help me !

My file is currently "IN PROCESS" (since May 5th), and I'm planning to travel for a month, from july 25th to august 25th…

Do you think I have to inform my Visa Office concerning this travel ? Because I must be sure to not have a medical or passport request during this period, or just some days before…

Thank you very much for your quick answers !!!

Regards,

PS : Congratulations to all our friends who got AORs, went In Process, got Medicals, PPR, and VISAS !!
