Hey guys,

How many 3131s are going to be giving the license exams when they get to Canada? I've already submitted all documents to the PEBC for the 'Document evaluation' part and will receive the results in another 4-5 weeks. I'm hoping to give the winter exam in January 2012.

After this, today, I sat down to check what else I have to do to get registered in Vancouver (I've checked it before, but it was just before applying for PR) and ......Oh Boy!!! My head is spinning! After the 3 part PEBC exam, I have to take another IELTS test (old one will surely expire by then), a second jurisprudence exam AND have a 3 month structured practical training program squeezed somewhere in between.

If someone has any other info on this, please let me know. I'm already prepping for the exams, it just seems like such a long journey at the moment. I know I will complete it, I'd just like some moral support along the way. ;D Phew!

Hey!
Start with the first one (evaluating exams) and go from there!
I already went through that successfully a couple of years back; so I will be focusing on the Qualifying and OSCE only as soon as I land.
And I think you are doing a lot of forward thinking starting the registrations process now! Anyone who wishes a quicker licensing should really be doing so; if only the VOs will co-operate and speed things up as well ???

congrats Moori and Tamsek for further processing... wish you all best of luck...........

:) you are right Rohan...had the same feelings before hearing anything from VO for about 45 days after status went IN PROCESS...it seems life stoped somehow , was little anxious..checked mailbox 5 times a day.. :o and again it was a big relief when got MR...I understand your feelings a little...may be when I will wait for my PP, I will realize more.. :P...
when are you planning to land?

Cheers,
Zahed

Well if things go well by God's grace then probably in July. What about you and where do u intend to settle?

Well a current overview of the situation now that people are actually receiving visas:

Of our total spreadsheet catalog

Received visas 2.25%
PPR 13%
Med requests 25%
AOR 44%
PER 91%

Please view the visa office summary here for the picture at each individual visa office. Our spreadsheet represents approximately 3% of the total applications that CIO have received.

Wayne.

Amazing stats Wayne, thanks for posting. Am I correct to assume that the AOR percentage includes people like yourself who really didn't get an AOR but moved directly to Meds?

No, the visa office summary calculations go off columns which have had the dates filled in - so the "2nd AOR Issued (VO)" column. People who didn't get 2nd AORs won't have this column filled in. So once all >J2010 applications are processed I envisage this will still not be 100% since not everyone's visa office issues 2nd AORs.

Finaly I have got my passport back :D Stamped with an immigrant visa valid till date of expirey of the medicals
They have also included a CPR i.e Confirmation of Permanent Residence which is a document showing my details and holding one photo of me ;)
They have clearly mentioned to have the visa and the CPR document with me when I land. They advised to accompany birth certificate ,school and university transcipts with me as supporting documents. Also they have given some links to read to help with working, housing and landing. Obviously, they have returned some documents that I intially sent to CIO like the university transcipt and the birth certificate translated and reference letters of employers. However they have kept the contracts and the IELTS certificate.
Wishing all of you the best with your Visas ;D ;D ;D
CONGRATULATIONS MOORI when you are planing for the Landing????
THANKS Temasek, Dr.Hasib and Indira for the good wishing
Thanks

We were on page 1013 when I received my PER and I hoped to get my visas before the 2000nd page........This thread is working faster than ND VO.....may be 3000 is a realistic target for me........

May be, but i bet we are the best and the luckiest bunch around in this forum :P :P It's only a matter of time while all other VOs catch up pace and start raining Visas all around..

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.
