Hi all,
Hi wayne,
After 6 weeks, do u think there would be some changes in processing times by vo?
Please clarify ?

Ritu
I have updated the projections page from the last totals Updated on 16th May 2011. Projections are now 13,010 - that's an increase of about 15 since last week. So with only 6 weeks left of the CIO year, it will likely stabilise at around 13,200 or 13,300 or so.

But in most cases, the change to IN PROCESS on ECAS as actually lagged at least a fortnight behind the actual start of processing, because people have been receiving the change on say the 16th May, but their ECAS than saying that they began processing on the 3rd May.
So, it may be that our file is already IN PROCESS, but ECAS has not been updated.
It has also been reported that some people got their medical requests even before their ECAS actually changed to IN PROCESS.
If I wait until ECAS shows IN PROCESS I might have to wait forever at this rate.
How else can I get answers to how long my process might take? :( I am feeling driven to take big chances and move to be with my husband in B.C before we have the important notification and that is causing me a great conflict of emotions.

It takes anywhere between 45 -60 days for the CAIPS to come in after you have ordered, so you can plan accordingly.

Updating system is usually outsourced....u may get in to In process status but Ecas gets updated smtime later

Hi - nobody knows for sure what will be announced on 1st July 2011. It does seem certain that there will be changes to the points matrix (the various sections that you combined to get 67 points or more). There may also be some changes to the list of in-demand occupations, although I am expecting any changes to the list to be minimal.

Regarding processing times, only a few post-June-2010 visas have been issued so far so there probably isn't yet sufficient finalisation data to report on average processing times. Perhaps within the next few months we might see such times being publised, as CIC have a better idea of the times at each visa office.

Question:

I wonder, where is Indira, Where is Anil???? >:(
Do they think, they have almost got the Visa so they can leave us?

Hi Hasib,
I guess they are around and will join us soon.
Probably just preparing themselves for coming trip to Canada.

I hope we will keep in touch through this thread or by others means ( facebook, skype, email etc ) even after we land in Canada. Great friends of this post-june thread with various expertise can help out each other in a new country to live and thrive.

God bless us all.

Thanks Wayne..........

Ok, this one is quite old (an Internet classic) but for those who haven't read it yet.....

This is based on an actual radio conversation between a U.S. Navy
aircraft carrier (U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln) and Canadian authorities
off the coast of Newfoundland in October, 1995. (The radio
conversation was released by the Chief of Naval Operations on
10/10/95 authorized by the Freedom of Information Act.)

Canadians: Please divert your course 15 degrees to the South to
avoid collision.

Americans: Recommend you divert your course 15 degrees to the
North to avoid a collision.

Canadians: Negative. You will have to divert your course 15
degrees to the South to avoid a collision.

Americans: This is the Captain of a US Navy ship. I say again,
divert YOUR course.

Canadians: No, I say again, you divert YOUR course.

Americans: THIS IS THE AIRCRAFT CARRIER USS LINCOLN, THE SECOND
LARGEST SHIP IN THE UNITED STATES' ATLANTIC FLEET. WE ARE
ACCOMPANIED BY THREE DESTROYERS, THREE CRUISERS AND NUMEROUS
SUPPORT VESSELS. I DEMAND THAT YOU CHANGE YOUR COURSE 15 DEGREES
NORTH--I SAY AGAIN, THAT'S ONE FIVE DEGREES NORTH--OR
COUNTER-MEASURES WILL BE UNDERTAKEN TO ENSURE THE SAFETY OF THIS SHIP.

Canadians: This is a lighthouse. Your call.

hehehehe

did you know that it is a tradition that you do not shave if your team get to the Semi finals? My husband reported this to me this morning, as Vancouver Canucks are now in the "no shave" zone.
It is obligatory for the team and fans also follow the rule if they are fanatical followers, which I believe most of them are! So expect lots of men with hairy faces around the West Coast in the coming days. I wonder if the female fans will have to stop hair removal as well? ;D

lol so is it better for westerns to win or lose when it comes to such comeptitions ? ;D

Guys
A few mins back i got a call from the CHC ND and they asked me the following Questions.
1> Which Compnay do you work for?
2>Where is your wife working ?
3>I see you applied through an agent named @#### can we know how much they charged you ??
What services do they provide to you ?

Now i'm a bit confused what exactly are they asking ??and was this legally a verification call ??
At the end the lady told that we would get back to you...

I have posted this at least twice, but here we go again
http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/united_kingdom-royaume_uni/visas/processing-traitement.aspx
I clearly says "Skilled Workers with Arranged Employment: 6 months"
This is the most recent update to the specific site for processing times at the London VO and so it is a genuine piece of information, not speculation or from an untrustworthy source.
It clearly isn't happening at London, but it should be from their own mouths.
Thanks Louise for the support on this issue.

Good for you then, now let's move on...

What a strange and personal thing to ask!!! I wonder why they have asked this? It cannot be that they think they are charging you for finding a job offer as they might with a Category 2 in recent fraudulent applications. that is not applicable to you a a Category 1.
The other questions are reasonable enough.
