Now nearly 4 months for us since PER (24th January) and it took us 4 months and 2 weeks to get that from our date of application receipt, so we are now over 35 weeks into this and not yet even showing IN PROCESS and no sign of Medical Requests. :(
London sucks!

when you say that what should I say about Buffalo.???
My PER dates back to November 29, 2010. The first one to get PER in buffalo applicants.....

I know you mean well, but we keep going round in circles on this point, Cam1234. Many people have suggested complexity of applications is the key to the processing conundrum.
Can it be that our application, which is not only Cat 2 with my husband actually working in Canada for the past 8 months on LMO and TWP and so very easily verifiable, but which is from a life-long UK resident who has only had a handful of travels anywhere and only ONCE outside Europe and that was to Canada, which includes only his wife of 16 years (similarly UK born and bred and similarly travelled), who both have only UK qualifications from major universities and no convictions and whose documents were all either original or legally notarised copies as requested and who have between them at least 87 points is considered complicated by London VO?
Logic, I am afraid does not come into this at all, or we would have been one of the first to receive PER and to be processed at the VO.
It is totally illogical.

queencougar, I know you are upset with the way processing is being done, so are many others here, including myself. No need to repeat your story, I know it well. I was simply giving my general opinion on the issue, and not taking each and every specific case into account.
Regarding Cat 2, while I have no idea how processing is performed, I do not recall ever reading they are supposed to be processed faster than others... Anyway, best of luck to you.

Way to go my friend, good to hear they have your new address... it worked out better than your other plan... ;)

By the way, in how many different ways did you inform them of your new address? I need to do the same... Thanks avi_15.

Cam

what is your position CAM?

I personally think its all about the visa office. It has nothing to do with the specific case. The faster visa offices are in the minority while applicants from all other visa offices (slow offices) are frustrated with what is going on. Best wishes guys and I hope that we from the slow visa offices will hear something soon.

Hi entemaria:

I need to contact them as well... I have changed my address, have new passports, and this is the third time I have ordered PCCs from FBI, UK, and France... So I have decided to send them in before the PCCs expire again. What do you think?

congrats kalabaza for ur long awaiting AOR
Good luck for ur further steps ahead.
I believe CIO does a thorough investigation on the dates mentioned on the application, now as per my time in USA i did mention my volunteering but have not provided the proof of it, and as far as i know though if CIO calls the hospitals i am not sure the hospitals will be able to provide the data of volunteers, coz of this i think my file has been stuck.
Now wondering how to solve this issues....
Seniors and experts anyone any idea what should be done to inform CIO about such issues? Please suggest.....

Hi String!

Is there any way that you can phone the hospitals and ask them to provide any letter where stated that you did your volunteering?? any other proof you may have? did you sign a contract? any doc with dates may work, in my opinion send out any proof and lets see if that releases your app, because CIO will not inform you that something is not matching, you can not keep waiting.....wish you success!

Hello Cam,
Have you ever asked your VO about the validity period of your PCC? I have a PCC from FBI issured on March, 2011. I never visit the US after then. I did not receive MR and PCC request yet. I sent an email to the VO mentioned that it takes time(2~3 months) to get the PCC from FBI, and the VO usually gives only 30~45 days to have it. I asked " should I renew my PCC from FBI again and again before your PCC request?" Their answer is: I can use this PCC. Just share my experiences. Good luck.

Hi John,

thanks for clarifying this! Yes, I think you mixed up your dates, but I changed them so it is all updated now.

Just make sure you change them in your profile so that info under your username doesn't confuse people...

Congrats for going IN PROCESS :)
