Hey G'Morning All,

I was thinking of having a secure way to share our contacts, would be a great networking idea once we're in Canada. Any suggestions?

Was also thinking of a X'Mas / NY party this year, chez moi a Toronto, so hurry up y'all and get there soon.

Cheers,
Rahul.

Rahul, may be another fb group can serve the universal group? What say?

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

First ECAS is not a 100 percent reliable. Next you've gone too far in the process for something to get wrong. Please hang on and your passports will be back with the maple leaves soon :)

Its been tension moments I ever had and curiously waiting for the happy end :)

That's great and it's actually working for us from Manila VO. We set up a FB group and we have become more active there than here. We're instant family over there. Nice to see the faces behind the user names :)

Great - STILL their website says "Item XXXX was posted at YYYY on 11/05/11 and is being progressed through our network for delivery." It was supposed to be guaranteed to get there by 1pm yesterday! I mean it was going to Central London, not like it was going to some remote island in the Orkneys!

Now what the hell do we do? Going to try phoning them at lunchtime. We have exactly 1 month now until our 60 days for RPRF/PCCs + Schedule 1s is up. If it takes us 2/3 weeks to find out these didn't get there, then we won't have time to get fresh PCCs.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO frustrating. This is the LAST piece of post to go to CHC London...

Wayne.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Don't know if you guys have seen The Incredible Hulk but right now I am so angry I am in danger of turning green and my shirt ripping open!

Ok - I spoke to someone at customer services at Royal Mail. They say they the last place on their system they can trace our RPRF/PCCs it is when I handed the package over to the post office on Wednesday! Now they have no idea where it is!

Anyway, I explained the importance of the documents - that they contained $980 worth of bank draft, police certificates that are costly and time-consuming to get as well as several forms. I also explained that our application which we've spent a year doing could fail if CHC do not receive the items within the timeframe, and also it is next to impossible to get confirmation from them that they received the items owing to the fact they have tens of thousands of applications on the go.

He said they are investigating and that they he has escalated this to a supervisor who will contact me today.

We have a case number and I took the name of the guy I spoke to.

I am expecting a supervisor to call me back today, but if they've lost this it's not only going to add another couple of weeks delay (and run us close to the wire on our 60 days) but my wife has to get PCC again (will have to use premium service this time, I got a spare PCC when I ordered the last one), we're going to have to somehow cancel our bank draft and order another one for $980, and hope we can get a refund on the first!

Doubt it - my day so far couldn't be worse and our RPRF/PCCs and Schedule 1s could be LOST by the post office!!!!!!!

Oops ??? ??? ??? I thought the Royal mail was next to the best :o

I wish the supervisor calls you and confirm they just found it and the item will be delivered in the next few hours :)

Thanks,

The problem is I can't afford to rest on my laurels and just wait to see if the bank draft is cashed. If CHC London don't get their documents within their 60 day timeframe I doubt they will give a crap whose fault it is, they will just fail our application.

I can potentially get everything back together again by the end of next week (I ordered a spare PCC but my wife will have to get another one, and will have to be premium service). Just we'll be out of pocket $980 until we can get a refund on the bank draft we sent, since we'll have to order another one without waiting for a refund on the first.

I am hoping that bank drafts can simply be cancelled, like cheques, if they have not been cashed by the recipients?

Yes, that's the best thing to do now.
