6 weeks passed now from time of my medical arrived to Cairo VO(insteade of London)
5 weeks from the date of requested documents arrival to Cairo VO
& they even didn't update my E-cas....still the same ...even (Medical received) not added yet

i was really frustrated but Moori visa made my day....

I Just decided to send mine last week given that there seems to be some movement. I asked my consultant and he said that usually it's 3 months but he has seen buffalo accept expired ones. my plan of attack is to wait a couple of weeks and ask for a new one just in case. I am hoping to hear something from buffalo in the near future

I think that's what I am going to do. i will send them the one that I have that should expire in May (if it is 3 months) and then I will apply for the new one just in case.

Hi Avi,

I wouldn't recommend that your friend pretend to be you to get the information. It would be far easier and safer to fill out a representative form and fax it to Buffalo. Your friend would then legally be your representative so they would have no problem sharing your info with him/her. This is of course just my opinion and when it comes to immigration I prefer to play by the rules.

Ofcourse after recieving such marvelous news, I had to log in to e-cas to find my current status and it says :
DECISION MADE

We received your application for permanent residence on September 10, 2010.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on January 6, 2011. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Your application was reviewed and we started processing on March 7, 2011.

Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.

I can not express my feelings of success, happiness, joy, more ambition, enthusiasm, curiosity about the future and my career in canada. It is like winning a battle that started for me in person in 2007 with an old application and some hard licensing exams that needs canadian expierence and a status in canada to be able to go through the career. Now is time to gather the coloury crops of an old cultivated seed that gave me lots of hard time to be able to see its growth over the ground surface All I have to do now is to study for the coming challenge and wait for my sweet passport coming with such a visa

Just call the number we have and don't mention you are out of Canada, just ask for them to check your address to see if the update has taken place. I would personally not want anyone else call them instead of me, they may ask case specific questions that your friend may not know. You can create new problems for yourself.

You can also call +1 613 944 4000 and then press 1-2-1-2-0 to talk with an agent. I called this number back in December before receiving the PER, and the agent was able check my adress on the system (The old adress).
