CHC London may ask to see proof of funds at any time during processing. If they are satisfied with your original bank statements (assuming you sent at least 3 months bank statements?) then they may not ask for any updated proof of funding.

Equity in property is accepted as proof of funding by CHC London so if they do ask you can prove how much equity is in the property you have just bought (valuations/mortgage statements etc).

However, please note that when you land cannot use property as proof of funds, it has to be liquid format and in an easily transferrable currency (CAD, USD, Sterling or Euro).

I am assuming you are not intending to sell the pharmacy store again, so how were you proposing to show proof of funds when you complete your record of landing?

Hi seniors,
Please, suggest.....regarding this...actually i got my documents notarized in October but didnt submit my application yet......I am going to do it tomorrow....last minute doubts....please, suggest me if its okay to send my documents that were done in October 2010 or shall I get them done again.

Please, suggest at the earliest.

Thanks a lot.
Priya

Notarizing means that an authorized person has compared your original document to the copy you intend to send and certifies it is true copy. That shouldn't have any expiry date.

I advise you to go for fresh one again, as it is not that much costly.

Better to play with soft & safe hands.

Regards,
Mayank

rabbitpriya,

I suppose it depends on the document if it is something that is important that it is "recent" like bank statements yes! Otherwise, it makes no sense on getting them notarized again. For example a marriage certificate or a University Diploma makes no diference. I sent things that where a year old (I was thinking to apply to australia previously) and had no problems at CIO and my attorney said the same thing I'm telling you. I only had to get fresh bank statements that was it.

Rod

Hello Everyone,

I must tell you guys that I am VERY confused with all the terms you all use, and I really do not understand much of my process. I would like some help and also wanna be in the statistics.

Here i go.

I am from Mexico. I lived in Canada for 3 years, after one year I arrived to Canada, a consultant advised me that the most easy way to stay in Canada it was if I claim refugee, so I did.

I was rejected and came back when immigration told me, July 14th 2010. Before that, I went to see another lawyer and he basically told me I was very stupid to clai refugee and he told me that I could apply under the skilled worker app. So i did. As a cook since I had over a year experience.

When I was living there I worked the whole time in a restaurant as a cook, paying taxes and everything. Never asked for welfare. And I paid for my plane tickets when I came back.

Well, you guys seem to have a lot of experience in this matter, so Could someone explain me what are the chances or risk immigration gimme trouble because of the past refugee claim?

Also, would like to ask about my current application. My lawyer sent the paperwork and everything (I sent all originals with respective translations) My e-case says. Forgot to mention I also have arranged employment!

**Centralized Intake Office Sydney (CIO-S) Eligibility Review Complete
-We received your application for permanent residence on March 7, 2011.
-We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on April 5, 2011. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us

By the way, I haven't received any letter yet, either my lawyer!

According to your knowledge, how long do you think it will take.... Mexico is a war zone, all for the mafia!!! :(

P.S. I forgot to mention, I applied for humanitarian too, 2 years ago.

Thank you guys for everything, I really appreciate all your help.... Read you guys soon.

Hi Priya,

It is notarized documents right... no matter when it got done... it is still valid as it contains the certified true copy of the originals (which never changed ;))...
I filed my apps originally on 4-OCT-2010, but got returned due to one missing document (AEO 2nd page).

Later I re-filed on 16-Mar-2011 with the same documents (except new print outs of the forms with latest date & signed... used CC).

So, you are good to go... :D
