I suggest you do (go to the bank). Sell them a story about how important it is. And good luck!
Hmmmm... So heres the thing. When we went to the bank (SBI) earlier (30 March), the lady who made our draft took the copy from us and went to another officer (who was far from us) to enquire if it was encashed. From where we sat, we could see that he was busy and he shook his head horizontally. Maybe there was some miscommunication between them and she returned to us saying that it wasnt encashed. Today we went straight to him and asked only to hear that he cannot say anything about it and only the beneficiary would have an idea etc etc. So now we know that the info given first was not right and theres no way to know if my RPRF is encashed ???

Hello dear friend, JACKY74 !

There is not a bank in the world who will not know if a draft is encashed by the beneficiary, since they pay funds to the beneficiary's account. When they say they cannot say anything or they cannot tell, what they mean is that they cannot be bothered to find out.

Unless your bank tells you then there is no way to know if visa office cashed your RPRF draft. But personally I would drill the bank a bit harder - they CAN tell, they just don't want to go to the effort! Explain its importance.

Best of luck,
Wayne.

In addition to Wayne's comment, you follow this step:

Since this is a GOVT bank (SBI) and if they don't bother to tell you an update on BD, write a letter to branch manager requesting the same information, however kindly tell the importance of it & sign it.

Take it to the branch manager & he should help you this time... :)

HOPEFULLY !!! ;) but worth a try...

Cool. Did you get a reply label in with your med requests? (Seems most people did not).
Are you sending the stuff to 38 Grosvenor Square or 1 Grosvenor Square?
Wayne.

Well no, there were no labels even when the cover letter said they were enclosed. I am planning to send it to 38 Grosvenor St as that is on the cover letter from them. Where did you get the 1 Grosvenor Square address?

Will it be sent directly to her in India (She is unfortunately not yet with me in US after getting married)? or i need to follow up with Buffalo Visa office regarding the missing form??

My best wishes for all you folks waiting out there. Hopefully you will also get it soon!

One of the pages on the CHC London web site says their address is 1 Grosvenor Square, and also the stamp on the brown envelope they sent says 1 Grosvenor Square.

But most of the other people I have asked say 38 Grosvenor Square is the right address to send it to, so that is where we are sending it.

Hadnt checked my eCAS the whole weekend, not wanting to spoil what was left of it after a gruelling Saturday morning at work. Came in today, got into a couple of heated meetings, got a headache wanting to beat someone up (and couldn't), so in order to make sure I spoil it further and check on what Ralf was upto, checked my eCAS. And lo behold, it said...

"DECISION MADE"

Got butterflies in my stomach. It says "A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision."

I am hoping that this is good news because overcome by paranoia that I am, I want to make sure that this is a positive note. Would there be additional lines if the decision was negative? Odin, Wayne, Indira, Anil et al seniors, please advice as soon as possible. I might rupture a nerve or something.....

Cheers!
