Friends :)

I have a backlog of 40+ pages currently, but i cant wait to share my excitement ;) We just sent our passports, RPRF, PCCs to NDVO. They will receive it tomorrow morning.

Fedex refused to take passports in the package, and i told them they just contain original important certificates :P

Hope they reach safely ???

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

Hi

I have a question about MR. I need to do chest x-ray. In the instruction that i got is written:
"large chest x-ray....(one extra photo or each person is required)"

does it mean that i need to have two x-ray photos for each person?

Just 1 photo for each person taking x-rays, in addition to any photos you have to provide to the DMP.

For example, we were asked to take 2 photos each - the DMP uses one, and the other is for the x-ray.

If in doubt, just check with your DMP before you take the medicals?

Wayne.

Done my friend.... Congratulations & Best of Luck !!! :)

It does sound very concerning, however we have had cases where people have experienced delays getting their PER of 2 to 3 months with no reason whatsoever - so do not lose hope yet!

Firstly, has your credit card been charged/bank draft cashed? If so, then we know your application was received and that it passed the completeness check.

The next step would be to contact CIO to get the status of your application. It may be possible they sent your PER or NER but it landed up in the junk folder of your email account, so this also may be worth checking?

Best of luck,
Wayne.

Thank you for your reply, Sir.

Yes, the credit card was charged the day after my application was received. So, it is complete.

I've contacted CIO twice and each time I got "your application is waiting review by an officer. You'll be contacted in due course".

I check my email box everyday, including spam and junk folders. No response from CIO regarding my PER.

Thanks again!

Hello Everyone,

I am a Pre-June applicant and my NOC 0631 also exists in the current list of 29 Occupations! so i wondering if my case would be treated among the priority NOCs or like the other Pre-June cases, which are now a days on hold for some reason. Since i have not received any updates till now, i did drop mails to the London office regarding this matter but have not received any replies from them, not even an automated response.

Looking forward for you valuable comments.

Amar12345, Barkat123 & IYNGR_75,

Mumbai RPO's website says that one can renew the passport a year before its expiry......I want to combine name/address change along with the renewal....

Under a normal procedure that can be done but I want to do it under tatkal scheme but I'm not sure whether that can be done before the actual expiry......See the link below - the last part - It says 'After expiry'

http://passport.gov.in/cpv/TatkalScheme.htm

RPO phone line is not helpful and I'm not able to get hold of any agent to do the inquiry......

Hi there,
You have to have an appointment and this can be done online.Take all the documents such as your last 1 year electricity bill, telephone bill, Housing society letter mentioning that you and your spouse reside at your current residence address since from last one year, marriage certificate and whatever documents you can collect to prove your marriage and your current address. The passport officer will refer your passport numbers & check their computer to see whether they still have your previous police verification reports in their database. If you are lucky to have your police verification report with them, the officer will ask you to pay the tatkal fees and you may receive the pp within 4 days. I know this because I got my pp renewed under tatkal scheme eventhough my passport still had a validy of 11 months and the address on my old passport was different than my current residence.
I suggest you take an appointment and when your turn comes, ask the officer whether you qualify for the tatkal scheme. If he replies positively, go ahead and if the reply is negative, and if you do not wish to go ahead, ask him not to put the "CANCELLED" stamp on the passports as the ordinary scheme takes 60 days. You have to take decision and take your chances.
Wish you luck for your PP renewal.

I can understand your worries, but we're in the same boat....
Even when your processingtime is a bit longer than ours, we still haven't received any news from CIO either!
You are not alone, there's a big white lined area on the tracker with applicants who haven't heard anything from CIO, BD or CC encashed but no progress.....
Hang in there, hopefully we will hear something really soon!!!

Kind regards,
Louise!

Thanks for the reply. I have a related query. Plz chk ur inbox.

Finally... aah...Today morning,I have received my daughter's passport from passport office, will be sending same to CHC right away... as today is last day to submit the documents... though I have requested CHC for extension at the time of submitting RPRF and our passports (PA,Spouse)... Still, will try to deliver her passport today itself. Spoke to courier personal, requested him for express delivery, he is ensuring that the passport will be deliver today before closure of CHC office.

Rgds,Raj.
