Dear Friends in Damascus Visa Office,

I have been checking Damascus VO activities during the past 10 days and it seems nothing special happened during that period. Is that true or some of you know of any recent activities of Damascus visa office?

Regards
Bahman

Hi All,

I have been following all of you guys on this forum since Jan and I wanted to inform all of you that my husband is a London VO applicant based out of London and we received our medical requests today :D
I am not sure what all has been requested but I will get back to you all later today or tomorrow

Regards,
Patricia

Can you give us some other details of your time line, please?
It is helpful for us London applicants to know your application date and the progress of your application so far.
Thanks.

Hi Wayne,
It is really annoying, especially, for someone who needs to spend more time and money to have a fresh PCC. I need to apply the FBI PCC, it takes about 1~2 months(or 3 months before) to get it. However, the VO gives only 45~60 days to prepare that. in addition, they ask the PCC should be issued within three months. I have to apply the FBI PCC before they ask for that. It means If they delay to request, we need to apply again and again???????? :'(
good luck for processing.

Hi Roseapple,

Here in the UK it takes 1 to 2 weeks, although it will take longer than that at the moment because we in the middle of 2 sets of 2-day public holidays for Easter, Royal Wedding and May-day. But the delay is I guess at least manageable.

But I don't understand why it is even necessary? PPR takes 5/6 weeks after medicals at London VO usually, and we should have our visa stamped within 2 weeks of that if we go down to London to deliver and then collect the passports again. And our PCCs have 3 months life left in them!

Well they've asked for them so we have to get them. It's delaying sending our RPRF by a couple of weeks. We had the bank draft within 1 day of getting the requests, and re-printing our Schedule 1s with minor amendments was a 10 minute job, but we can't send anything until these PCCs arrive.

Not to mention the extra £70! We could have had their "premium" service which means they arrive in 2 working days instead of 10, but that would cost £140 total!

Wayne.

Hi Sanabelj,
You said the bank letter was insufficient, you mean that the amount of money in it was less than required? or the letter itself was not acceptable to them?

Bank letter itself, I think.

The visa office will want to see the history of the funds being shown. They want to be convinced that this to the applicant and that they have not just temporarily borrowed it for immigration proof. Hence why a bank letter alone confirming the balance is insufficient - they like to see the history of the money, where it came from.

If they can see it being steadily saved up over 6 months, that's fine. But if 6 months statements shows a large deposit they will want to know the source.

Congrats! :) But like Queencougar says, can you please let us know your timelines? When did you apply? What is your NOC? Are you FSW1 or FSW2 etc? :)

Wayne.

By the way, VO Londoners, we have sent a well-worded e-mail to Minister Kenney pointing out the inconsistency of the processing at London VO both compared to other VO across the world and internally, when applications are not being dealt with in any kind of order, it seems and that was sent a couple of days ago so no reply as yet.
Also no reply to the case specific e-mail sent nearly two weeks ago.
We are as frustrated as anybody, especially as my husband must return to Canada on Sunday without me and then the separation and waiting begins all over again. We have been apart for 8 months now and I am sick to the heart every day of it.
When we began, the VO was confidently predicting 6 months for Cat 2 processing and yet here we are with no meds even yet and PER was in January. Even that for us was after over 130 days, when now we see PER for some lucky people after as little as 40 days.
It is a shame for all of us who are waiting from before Christmas because there is no pattern to anything.
Now kolhapuri has received something, maybe we and wenstumped could have cause to be hopeful? ;) Bufalo could do with getting something moving as well. Canadajimmy - we are still rooting for you.
Keep your chin up, everyone.

Hi All,

Many of our forum members have not filled their profile and whenever they share any progress it is difficult to know their details immd.

I suggest that everyone should fill the profile column

Thanks

Congrats. BTW, what do you mean by "based out of London". Can you give more details about your case?
