Dear Senior forum members,

CIO document checklist #7 asks for "photocopy of the passports bio-data page for Principal Applicant and Accompanying family members' - But when I took the biodata page of the passport for notarization the Notary public is asking me to get the whole passport , even the blank pages to be notarized.

Also the New delhi VO Checklist ask for travel documents and passports, in that case also should we send the notarized photocopy of the whole passport including the blank pages or just the page with visa stamp need to be notarized.

Please advise, I have my other papers for my application ready to be sent, just waiting for my credit card to be revalidated, so would appreciate an early reply from the forum members.

Thanks in advance
R.R

Dear R.R
I photocopied my family's biodata pages & that of our country of residence visa (as requested by CIO & my visa office). I haven't notarized it & thank Allah (god) have recieved a positive eligibility review. I am not advising you to do the same.. I guess it would be much safer if you did everything by the book.. I am just telling you so that you wouldn't worry very much about it.

best wishes,
basmalahh

Basmalahh,

How many days does the CIIP session go on for? Are these full day sessions?

DarKnight

Dear DarKnight,
It goes for a couple of days.. The first day is a full day session, more like lectures & group exercises. While the other day is a one to one session regarding your specific career.. They are going to tell you what & who exactly you need to contact to have the best opportunities. Their role is to get you in touch with all the entities you might need to help you succeed, give you as much factual information as possible on Canada & to answer whatever questions you have got or if they do not have the answer get you in touch with whoever has. They are like there to help with anything you need to settle in Canada in your required job & life as a whole..

To help you further, they make an action plan for you to follow, to set you on your first step of preparing to Canada..

actually i had notarized only biodata page. Till now they have not asked for notarized copy of other pages.

I am not sure if it is explicitly mentioned anywhere to get all the pages notarized, but it is always better to get it done to avoid any kind of unexpected requests/inquiries and resulting delays later.

I personally got all the pages of my and my wife's passport notarized.

On the other hand, as Basmalahh and Jignesh haven't really faced any issues by just notarizing the BioData pages, it's really your choice.

Cheers!

Basmalahh,

Thanks for the detailed note... It does seem to be a very informative and helpful endeavor by the Canadian Government.

Can you also provide a brief about what kind of "Group Excercises" are done... ???

Thanks,
DarKnight

My ecas changed to 'In Process' today ( sunday). It also says, "Processing began on April 21."

But I have not yet received any documents request. I have not yet sent my PCC.

1. Any thoughts please?
2.Shall I start working on my PCC?
3. Admin, please update your spreadsheet with my Ecas as " In process".

thanks

Grave mistake, submitted the wrong amount for RPRF, submitted amount 24060 instead of 21440, what a blunder? Very angry at my self. Will this mean that my processing time will be delayed or can i be assured that my background checks are still ongoing and this minor blunder seemingly impact my overall processing time.

Please let out your thoughts on this one.

Hey Nitroxn ....

Did you get any letter from NDVO regarding ur RPRF fees.....???

Thanks

Uzma.

exercises just for fun.. like what do u generally know about Canadian provinces, How do you see your future there.. etc.. Nothing to consider.. It's just to make things more fun & get participants more involved rather than be a mere observer & it's solely your choice to participate as well, if someone doesn't want to get in, they just keep quiet..

Hi, can any one provide a guideline the VO uses for verification of docs and background checks plz? My docs are with the London VO for verification. Do they ring employers and email universities for all applicants? If they do, this would consume hell lot of a time I guess. I have Indian passport, and have heard that for India passport, they definiteloy carry out serious checks. Is this right? I dont mind but it's the time that matters. Would appreciate if soem one could throw some light. thanks a lot!

So hold on, CHC are requiring a further medical, presumably because of some kind of medical concern for you or one of your family members, but the doctors will not tell you what it is?
I thought legally they have to tell you? Surely even CHC bureaucracy will not stand in the way of someone finding out if something is wrong with their health?

Wayne,

Soon you will be requested to submit your PCC, MR etc
SO, it's wise to collect your PCC right now
