CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL WHO RECEIVED GOOD NEWS THIS WEEKS!!! ;D

My work schedule has changed and it is hard to keep up with this wonderful thread!! I now have my PCC, bank draft and chest xray, awaiting medical....

Wishing you all a Happy Easter!

EmmaJ

We've done our medicals, got draft for RPRF and printer our updated Schedule 1 declarations, but now awaiting updated PCCs (a little annoying since the ones they have are still valid for 3 months!). Hopefully we will get them early next week (no more post now until Tuesday), but CHC staff are probably mostly on holiday now until 3rd May anyway.

What do you mean by "why is it all ND VO?" ???

I hope you've not clicked on the ND VO Spreadsheet link and wondering why you only see only ND VO applicants... :P ;D

Anyways, you can click on the International Spreadsheet link in my signature to see the International applicants information.

Cheers!

Goodday forum family
Hope yesturday was a quiet day for you all.Have not checked in for a while and when I checked I has soooo much pages to read to catch up.
Must say congratulations to all those persons who have received document requests and well as those whose status has changed.
I have to wonder if the new immigration rules go for all the visa offices.
No post june 25 applicants at the Kingston VO has heard anything. It's been 2 months since my file has reached the VO but up till now no word. I have to wonder if our files are just added to the backlog that they already have there. This waiting with no news is nerve wrecking and annoying. How much longer must we wait before we hear anything from the VO.
Like the saying says "Patience is a virtue". Let me see if I have it.

Strange!
What if you were not able to make this dupicate fine ! Some papers are just hard to get !

Nothing was hard. Papers sent were mostly copies of everything. They were not hard to duplicate. The IELTS was sent in original for the first time. A copy was sent later. PCC and bank statement followed in originals as well. Guess it was due to 25 Jan incidents and that Egypt post was not operational for the CIO to mail the file to Cairo VO.

Who cares! 8)

EmmaJ,
Well done. You moved very fast in getting the documents ready. The earliest date I could get for our medical is 6th May though I booked 7th may. I wanted it earlier but they all seem to have been booked around London area and the easter break added to the royal wedding have made 3 days without work. I have applied for our PCC but I am still looking for earlier date for medical.

It's just a single page letter on the official stationery as described already. It just states that they do not hold any adverse records on my name that would hold me back from traveling to Canada.

They also put a stamp on my passport, confirming that they issued a PCC for me to travel to Canada on that date.

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

Dear Indira,
Did they put your picture in the PCC letter? If you can share.
Thanks

So hold on, CHC are requiring a further medical, presumably because of some kind of medical concern for you or one of your family members, but the doctors will not tell you what it is?

I thought legally they have to tell you? Surely even CHC bureaucracy will not stand in the way of someone finding out if something is wrong with their health?

Wayne.

Yes, you are right. But as of now I have only sealed envelope with me. Which I can not open and accompanying letter just says that I have to give that envelope to DMP and go for medical furtherance examination. That is it. No information on which family member needs it? or what is the problem?

Yes, it has our national emblem(color) on the top, contact details of the passport office, and original seal of the passport office.

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

Pratirajya,

Indira just stated that a colored logo of the National Emblem (I hope you know what that is) is there on top of the PCC, she never mentioned that there is a picture of hers on it.

And as far as I am aware, the picture of the applicant is never placed on the PCC. However, there is a stamp placed by the passport office on a page of your Passport mentioning that a PCC for a specific country (in this case Canada) was issued and the issuing date.

Cheers!

Incidentally, when we went for our Medicals, we also saw a couple of people reporting with sealed envelopes from the CHC for the Medicals. We were confused as to why ours was not sealed and never thought that it could be a case of re-tests. But, it never struck our mind to ask them about the same.

However, one thing which we noticed was that almost all of these cases (2 out of 3) were Student Visa applicants and only one was a PR Visa applicant.

I guess we should have asked them about this difference. But, we were so engrossed in getting our medicals done that we just didn't.

Cheers!
