It means you cleared the first stage and they sent you a PER mail. It must have landed in your junk folder. Send a case specific query and ask them to send you your PER mail again. Now, your file will be transferred to your VO and they will take it from there.

For how long is the FBI letter valid?

It took them exactly 4 months to change my status from the day I receive my PER to 'In process'. This timeline might help you guys to calculate your updates.

When do you guys think, that I should apply for my 3rd FBI clearance. Because my 2nd one is about to expire this month.

Thanks Anil,silent,arasah,moving ahead..i certainly hope everything will go on smoothly now after the GT IELTS bump..
Can't help but think, should i have sent the GT IELTS results, i might be waiting for my visa already..

Nonetheless, i don't mind already,as long as i get approved..
