Good post Kolhapuri, thanks. In my view a correction certainly awaits the real estate market in Canada, with prices having doubled in the past 10 years. This correction could turn out to be a severe one if the US goes into a double dip recession, which some like myself are expecting, dragging down the Canadian economy with it. Question, if you are in construction, why are you planning to land in Winnipeg? Just curious... :)

Thanks. I have a friend there who is in the same field as me and i have given an interview there in a firm so i think i may have better chance there. Nothing fixed yet.

I think when we move there we're going to rent for a couple of years and keep a keen eye on the house prices.

Yes, same here... In any case, you would need 6 months to a year minimum to build a credit history, if you plan on getting a mortgage...

Please answer my following two questions:

1. My ecas status is RBVO, today it started showing my mailing address, please tell me what does it mean, does it mean I will soon be getting my 2nd AOR through mail ??

2. There is slight mistake in the mailing address being shown , please tell me how can I get it corrected ??

Hi :)

1. We think the disappearance and reappearance of mailing address is something to do with the transition of our file data from the old CAIPS system to the new GCMS system. However, since we don't know exactly what this signifies we can't draw too much else from it.

2. If there is a mistake in your mailing address you need to inform your visa office immediately. Have you received your PER with your file number yet? If so, then send a case-specific query via your visa office's web site informing them of the error.

Best of luck,
Wayne.

@ cappuccino

Thank you for the detailed answer.

It is the first time my address has appeared (in my RBVO status) Please tell me does it mean my status is about to turn IN Process ??

Hi - no I don't think it necessarily gives any indication of going "In Process". Ours disappeared and reappeared several times before going in process. Your application won't go "In Process" until visa office starting processing with background checks on your documents.

Seriously, don't worry about the address on ECAS it's disappearance and reappearance isn't really telling you anything.

LONDON VO IS WORKING

Please update me in the tracker. Ecas is now in process

We received your application for permanent residence on October 25, 2010.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on February 16, 2011. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Your application was reviewed and we started processing on April 12, 2011.

Hi everyone;
I was thinking that as at this step everything relies on the VO workers I should check what has been the behaviour of my specific VO. So, I checked the spread sheet and found only 4 people in it (including me), checked their last posts too to know how they feel about it and found that Hub2 received on April 5th his second AOR.
That really keeps my smiley face as now I know that two people are receiving news from Mexico, City VO.
I hope kalabaza will get some news soon.
If anyone can update the spread sheet with Hub2 2nd AOR it will be more accurate.
Thanks
Deby
