Hey Congratulations sis. Looks like Accra is following a different pattern. In any case, one more step closer is better than no movement at all.

I have updated your info on the tracker.

Thanks 9j!!! I still pray for you and the outdated PER!!!!!
Just has to happen soon!

Hi guys - ok Right Of Permanent Resident Fee, the link that they provide on their instructions typically doesn't work!

So I visited here:
.asp
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/fees
I understand we need to pay $490 for principal applicant and $490 for spouse, so $980 in total? Is this payable to the Receiver General for Canada (as with the original fee)?

Going to go and get the draft made out at lunchtime.
Wayne.
Hi Wayne, Congratulations. London is definitely on the move.
My mailing address, which is my Canadian consultants', is now showing on my status. They are asking if I wish to change it.
I think this happens when they are about to send a letter to you. My status remains RBVO.
Anyway good luck with the rest of the process.

Regarding your enquiry,go to this link. It explains all.

Hi ok, thanks :)

At lunch time I ordered a bank draft for $980 CAD payable to Receiver General For Canada from my bank (HSBC), which should arrive by the end of next week!

Also we've ordered fresh police certificates which should take 1 to 2 weeks. The Schedule 1s other than one minor adjustment on my form are a simple re-print, and our medicals are booked for 1.30pm next Tuesday :)

So all being well CHC London will have everything they need to finalise our application within the next 2 weeks! Then it's back to the waiting game to see how long PPR take.

Wayne.

My warm-hearted congratulation to all who's status changed these days! Wayne, especially you, my friend!!!! Finally!!! 8) 8) 8)

Today we received the answer from Bucharest about our spoiled Med Forms. They apologized and asked to return the wrong forms back and wait for new ones (I think they will use the same photos as they don't ask for new). Today we plan to send the courier, it will take 3-5 days and than 1 more week to receive new forms. So, good luck to us :P

Thanks spokes. No worry. I know we'll get the PER by and by. I just have to try and concentrate on passing my professional licensing exams now. I will be flying in for stage 1 (written) in July, and hopefully stage 2 (clinicals) early next year. Hopefully they will all tie in together at the end of the day.

Have a nice weekend sis.

Good post Kolhpuri, thanks. In my view a correction certainly awaits the real estate market in Canada, with prices having doubled in the past 10 years. This correction could turn out to be a severe one if the US goes into a double dip recession, which some like myself are expecting, dragging down the Canadian economy with it. Question, if you are in construction, why are you planning to land in Winnipeg? Just curious... :)
