Well, that's great news for Manilla VO applicants & means that "overall" our post june immigration process shall be a fast one, atleast should take less than a year's time as previously stated by the immigration minister. I was worried it might take longer..

For those at Buffalo/London/Damascus and other slow visa offices, it might take >1 year!!!

'Some' is the key word here. Some of them will get it within one year. As long as that happens. the minister is free to say in the press conference that people have got the Visa as planned by him(he will conveniently not say the keyword 'All').

I mean come on, with the current speed things are happening can you really see ALL of Buffalo applicants getting their visas within one year?

Maybe when CIC also send all their correspondence by flying pig.......

I'm hearing a faint heartbeat from Damascus VO, but it sure looks as though some London applicants and almost all Buffalo applicants are looking at Nov-Dec 2011 at earliest... CIC has implemented many good changes recently to their immigration system... However, the fact that some VOs are overburdened with too many applications is a well known documented fact by CIC itself... Why are they not doing something about it? ...All in my opinion...

Recently Damascus is sending medical request ...hope it will continue like this and we hear more news from Damascus and other vos ....VO like Damascus dont send 2th aor so maybe for that they seem slower .....

Think someone got an email saying they could go collect med requests or arrange them to be sent by courier, so yeah - basically Damascus started getting med requests.

Well we're going over to Vancouver end of August/start of September come what may for a 2 week vacation, since my wife can't really get that much time off at any other time this year.

We'd LIKE to get make it a completion of landing trip, but realistically if we don't get med requests by the end of this month it's going to be a squeeze.....
