Hi - I don't think it's per city. It's just one PCC for each country you have lived in.

Very encouraging that London are at least working! We still haven't heard anything - hoping this is a good sign and that we're sat in the "send medicals" pile? :)

Wayne.

Thanks Wayne,

yes its very encouraging sign as i am an August 2010 applicant and so that you and i am sure as you have already submitted PCC, you will receive Medical request anytime soon. I was going through Pakistan forum and people there mentioned that PCC is required from each and every city where one has spent more than 6 months. And its really a tough task to gather PCC from 5 different places.

Hi - hmm, well I've lived in two or three different towns across 2 different counties (all in England) in the past five years, and we only provided one PCC. But on the form to get that PCC I listed all my addresses in the last 5 years.

So I suspect it may differ from country to country. For the UK you only need one PCC I think, but you list all your previous addresses when applying for it.

Can't remember if it actually lists the addresses on the certificate, I got a duplicate with it so I can check when I get home.

Really hoping to hear something soon, this is worse than waiting 3.5 months for the PER!!! :)

According to the FBI website it takes up to six weeks to get a record. I suggest you apply for one right away. I would contact London VO and inquire about those state certificates. What's the point of requiring such records if an FBI certificate has national coverage?

Dear cfr1907,
Thanks for the reply. :)
I actually have an FBI certificate that I had received after sending my whole application to CIO and I was just thinking to send it to the London office and today I received this e-mail. I have already asked my consultant to contact the London VO about those state certificate but its just so frustrating >:( >:( that the person typing the e-mail did not complete the sentence so it is not clear what is actually required after all....

Wayne,

In our UK PCCs, just the current address(India) is mentioned on it, and while applying we did indicate ALL addresses we lived in the UK. Hope that helps.

AFAIK, there is only one way to get a UK PCC, and that's through the ACPO and this is the only format they give. We got exactly the same format PCC 6 months back. So, I'm sure, it's just one for the whole of UK.

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

Yes the one we got was ACPO. We list all addresses we've lived at for the last 5 years, but it's just one certificate for the whole UK. So this "one per city" concept must be country-specific.

Thankfully with neither of us ever having lived outside of England it simplifies matters a bit!

Hi Avi_15:

I personally don't think they will ask us for that, the guidelines specifically direct us to the FBI website. But in case they do, I suppose one would call their local police station, at their county of residence, and ask.

dont forget to attach a copy of ur old FBI PCC when applying for a new one. I guess it speeds up the whole process.
No harm in doing that :)

avi_15

Hi avi_15,
Thanks for the advice Bro... ;) but I already have a FBI clearance certificate that I had received after my consultant had sent the whole application to CIO. My confusion is regarding the State certificates :-[ and I have mentioned below what the CIC website states.

"How to obtain a police certificate
United States of America

Do I need to provide a police certificate when applying for permanent residence?
Yes. Applicants should provide a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) certificate with fingerprints. State certificates may also be requested. The Visa Office will advise you if state certificates are required in your case."

Does anyone know how to get a state certificate from Texas... :(

I've been checking the official site for Total Complete Applications Received and there hasn't been an update since 28 March. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/complete-applications.asp Looking at the historical pattern, when 1122, RN and Pharm were getting close to 1000, they were reporting more frequently than every 9 days. I wonder if there has been a tremendous slowdown in the number of NOC 0631 applications this past week or are they preparing to surprise us?

Thankyou Raj, arasah and CB :)
CB, placebo and always +ve, congrats for your RPRF encashment!

Have anybody had any answer from the embassy about medical examination? my doubt is if the embassy let us know the results or they just charge "Residence fee payment" after they have already received the results.
