We got our PRF BD made today, but the guys at the Bank said that there is no way to know when it gets encashed or even if it is encashed at all or not.

Can you please advise on how we can get to know if the BD gets encashed or not?

I made my BD from nationalised bank ie State Bank Of Patiala. I simply aproached them after 10days or so,
and they checked it and told me that it has been en-cashed just today. So there might be a procedure to
check it out.

Hi,

The only way to check is by asking the bank....which bank did u take the DD from ? i m surprised that they said that u cant find out ....i just called the bank (mine was axis bank) to find out if the DD was encashed ......i m sure all banks will know when the DD gets payed to the beneficiary :

try calling them after 10 days, once u send the docs to the VO.....or u will have to wait till u receive the receipt from VO :-X

Dear Amr,
Thank you for your help. Just to make it clear for myself:
- I will copy the letter of instructions as I go to the bank
- I will take the original reciept from the bank then make 3 copies
- I will prepare a letter to VO with IMM8 and the original reciept (keeping the 3 copies to myself)

Is that right ?

In fact we r the first 2 to send the ppr and rprf to ND. Urs is 15th and mine 16th.

Actually I wouldn't bother much about the receipt if the contents are only what we already know "dd received" or "rprf received".

Hope to receive the ppr with visa stamped soon. Want to make to Canada before the schools begin there. I don't want my kids to lose a year.

Hey guy's,

Need your advise!

I had applied for some endorsement in my daughter's passport on 29th of last month. They told me it will take minimum 45 days to get the new booklet, which is beyond the time-lines given by the visa office to submit the RPRF & PPR.

Now, I'm in a fix situation... thinking of sending RPRF & our passport's ( self & spouse) to visa office in couple of days with the request letter for extension of submission of dependent's passport.

Please provide your inputs... It is recommended.
