Hi, I found my status had been updated to “In Process".

The details are below:

"We received your application for permanent residence on November 3, 2010.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on February 18, 2011. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Your application was reviewed and we started processing on March 24, 2011."

Please update my status on spreadsheet. Thanks a lot.

Dear Mahek286,

I was thinking about the same as I got my FBI clearance letter after submitting my documents to CIO. After getting some inputs from seniors I also discussed it with my consultant ::) and he suggested that we send this FBI clearance letter to the visa office so that hopefully they don't ask me again when I get the MR.....hope this helps.... :)

Hi Wicked Blues,

Can you tell me how much time was required for the FBI Clearance as I have to apply for the same for my son.

Thanks

Would it make sense to send the PCCs to the visa office before they request them or even before receiving the AOR. I mean, if CIO says the application was received by visa office and they give a file number that starts with E, can't we just mail the PCCs to the VO with a cover letter stating the file number?

Very good point Mahek286. I was personally waiting to get some concrete contact from them, in the form of a 2nd AOR or MR, since I don't trust ECAS. I think a great idea could be to email them and ask if we could send them in and see what they say. It would be a better idea than to get our PCCs lost over there amongst the mountains of paperwork they receive.

By the way, there has been a lot of speculation as to what E and B file numbers mean. Separate the speculation from fact, we really don't know what they mean and it should not make a difference in your decision to do something...this is just my opinion.

Are you certain of the highlighted part of your post? What I understand is that CIO returns the complete application pack to the applicants for those who got NER or did I miss something?

9j

Hello 9jcanada and Wayne,

I got NER in Feb. waited for the documents as I made up my mind immdiately to file the application again. Sent an inquiry to CIC and received the reply that they would not send back the documents. After few days I got Bank Draft for the fees paid and NO DOCUMENTS. they informed that they keep the douments with them for their record after the eligibility review. They would send back the complete file if it fails at the completeness check.

Thanks

Good opinion, but we should not be selfish to think that only we should migrate , others should also get an equal opportunity guys......and hence 67 is a big hurdle for some one who is single and wants to migrate, though 67 cut off might be very lenient for some of those who are very bright.

It has nothing to do with being selfish. The point system is there for a reason. Immigrants are already finding it hard to compete and find employment when they arrive in Canada, therefore a certain level of education and experience, among other factors, ensures their survival.

If the point system was relaxed further, you would simply be allowing unqualified people with little chance of survival to enter Canada and join the already swelling ranks of the unemployed and homeless... This situation would be neither beneficial to the immigrant or the economy of Canada...

My 2cents,
Cam

Anyone around here got a DECISION MADE in their ecas status? As far as I know, four of us got DM from March24-26. We don't know if there's an error from ecas or what. Please enlighten us on ths matter. Thank you.

Hi - can you please let us know which users have "DECISION MADE"?

I hear there can be a decision made error when transferring the case from CAIPS to GCMS, although not sure how true it is. If there is no error in ECAS then usually DECISION MADE before medicals means rejection, DECISION MADE after medicals means success.

Guys:

I have submitted my PCC to Singapore VO and according to DHL traker, they have received it yesterday signed by DORTHY.

Lets see how much time they take to respond me?

We received our 2nd aor around March 16. One forumer has CLP. I, on the other hand is married so I don't really know on what grounds they are basing their decisions from. :(

We tried sending VO an enquiry but no news as of the moment.

If you check our reply #2668 here:
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/fsw-post-june-26-2010-cio-manila-vo-applicants-here-t62550.0.html;msg681546#msg681546

The user received a reply from London regarding the decision made status:
"Your application has simply been transferred to our new computer system (GCMS) and your new file number is E***********. The decision shows as being made, because your old file had to be closed when transferred to the new system."

So, as I said, there can be a decision made error when transferring between CAIPS and GCMS. Unfortunately no way of knowing until you get confirmation from your visa office whether this is an ECAS error or a genuine rejection :(
