Dear hope2011,
Can you explain this line - " around the same time there are a few other singaproe applicants got PCC requirements."
Whom are got PCC requirements?
As I am not yet send PCC with my application and we are not required MR to apply for PCC in our country.

Good wishes to hear more news in this coming week.
Arasah
i think we will get our PCC request together with MR

Congratulations Kevinca! Hopefully Singapore VO maintains this over the coming week(s).

Please do share the following.

  • The date shown in ECas as to when CIC started processing your application (i.e. the 3rd line); and
  • Where your lawyer is based. Just trying to understand why a letter dated 8 March 2011 sent by Singapore VO took such a long time to be delivered. Of course we cannot rule out that they could have mailed it much later than that date.

Cheers.

Dear Temasek and Hope2011, thank you so much for your sweet hearts!
Regarding your inquiries, pls note that it is said on my Ecas that my application is placed into in-process since March 04. Means that they issue MR 4 days after. And my lawyer based in Canada, that's why it takes so much time to reach.

To Temasek and all Singaporean applicants: it is to my utmost surprise to get such an early MR. Thanks a bunch to VO Singapore!!! Now it is your turn to get MR !!! :-* :-* :-*

Dear Mr. Arash,

I think hope2011 wanted to say that, there may be some applicants who get the request for PCC after 8th March. But dear hope2011, do you know anyone or provide any reference who got such request?

In my country MR is not required to apply for PCC as like Mr. Arash. I am also under Singapore VO.
My presumption is, people who didn’t sent PCC before, will get the request for PCC, MR together!

As far as I know singapore does not issue PC to non singaporean citizens anymore.
You only have to be a singaporean to get the police certificate. Am I right?

Congratulations to Kevinca!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The first Singapore applicant got MR!

From the details given by Kevinca, may I say that Singapore VO classified applicants in 2 categories:
1. applicants sent PCC : 2nd AOR then directly MR
2. applicants without PCC: 2nd AOR then PCC then MR

I am saying this since Kevinca's letter is dated 8th March, and around the same time there are a few other singaproe applicants got PCC requirements.

Another theory is that for those who applied from Singapore will get PCC first rather than MR, since Singapore police won't issue PCC without the letter from VO. So my guess is that for those applied from Singapore will have to submit PCC before get MR.

Glad that Singapore VO really wake up. Correct me if I miss any details. Good luck to every one!
Hi Friend,
thank u for the info. They will give PCC for Citizens only. But what abt PRs?police changed the rule now.I think PRs in singapore will have to take an oath infront of commissioners of oath.

That is correct. The change took effect on 18 October 2010 - http://www.spf.gov.sg/epc/cncc_notice.htm. Cheers.

I was living in Singapore for almost 2 years and i was not PR, i had work permit only, how should i obtain PC from there?
I was thinking as they have changed the rules and they only issue PC for citizend , i should not apply for it.
