A more important question is "Who cares"?

Been nearly 7 weeks since Manila got their 2nd AORs rolling, and still not a peep from London or some other visa offices. Right now how many posts there are in the thread are the least of my worries!

Can I change my Visa Office from Buffalo to New Delhi as my work permit in US is going to expire soon and I have to Leave US by May.

My present Address & Visa Office - USA ( Buffalo )
Permanent Address- India ( New Delhi )

Please let me know if this is possible ?

i think it is possible and i am also going to do the same thing. Whats your ecas status- has your file reached BUffalo VO? I think our files are with buffalo VO only but they are not updating E-cas. So, buffalo needs to be contacted for the request to transfer the file to New Delhi.

Your visa office can either be your country of origin or your current country of residence. If you intend to return to India (I assume India is your country of origin?) then you can argue that since this is your place of residence and country of origin that it would make sense for your application to be transferred there.

But generally CIC want a very good reason for the transfer. They could argue that unless they require you to attend an interview (which you can probably do at your local VO without needing to transfer the file) that your application can continue to be handled by Buffalo.

They are probably very aware of the speed difference between Buffalo and New Delhi and are probably wary of people wanting to change visa offices in an attempt to speed up their application process.

no one cares about it, but it just reminds us that we all are here still sharing the news what is happening and how we are going....it is just a feel of being assoiciated with each other...may be worth to care about it...every day you get up and check what your mates are doing or where do they stand

I agree with you that your VO has no news and this makes you annoyed here, but it is not in any one's hand

I am from Serbia so it would be Vienna (which is not that fast either). I just wanted to see if anyone was in that situation that if they had to leave the country their file would be transfered. Other than that we can only guess...

I am wondering is there any way to get some kind of visa for Canada (in this specific situation when you have to leave the country of residency) and wait there. Probably slim chance but I am being hopeful

It depends on your passport and the agreements in place between Canada and the country of issue.

You may be able to go to Canada as a visitor for a certain length of time. For example, on my UK passport I can go to Canada as a visitor for up to 6 months. But of course, I cannot work there.

So if you can afford to wait it out as a visitor than it may be a possibility. Otherwise you can enter as a visitor then try to get yourself some kind of temporary work with a TWP. If it's just a survival job you might be able to get one without needing an LMO? (not sure though). However to enter as a visitor with a PR you'll probably have to have a return ticket.
