Hi - ah sorry I saw wakawaka mentioning "Shanghai" so I assumed his application was at China? So he is a London applicant?

Whereas it is a positive sign, until someone from London actually reports getting a 2nd AOR, then these ECAS notes could simply be more ECAS inaccuracy!

asaif have you checked your ECAS status lately?

Wayne.

So just to confirm, you moved to Shanghai but your visa office is still London and your application is there?

Wayne.

yes it will be as i just moved now,
think that options stands only if u live in that country fr more than 6 months, or ur homecountry as a another option..

Hello Friends,

Thansk everyone. It is great feeling to advance one step ahead. My file number is E000, PCC not sent yet.

Please tell me what kind of background/security checks/ verifications to expect from ND VO. Is there anything I need to do other than waiting. Of course I have submitted all truthful informations, however I am a bit concerned about CHC enquiring from a wrong person at my workplace and drawing wrong conclusions.
Thanks again for your support.

OK :) Well it's encouraging that 1 or 2 London applicants ECAS status now reads "We started processing your application..." but it's still a bit uncertain until that translates into a 2nd AOR or correspondence from London.

I don't mind waiting my turn in the London queue but I just want SOMEONE to get something soon! ;)

Wayne.

yes "in process" doesnt seem much at the moment,
lets wait and see..
good luck

Wakawaka, do you mind letting us know the date on ECAS when it says we started processing?
Cheers

hope that helps.

So they have been "processing" your application for 15 days and still you have heard nothing?

Does this perhaps support the theory that London will go straight to meds without sending 2nd AOR? Or maybe ECAS is just wrong?

At this stage, i think it is the latter scenario and i hope it is the former one.

Can I please ask when did your application arrive at CIO, and when did you receive your PER from CIO?

Wayne.

My husband and I had the same experience as many others when we went to get our PCC.

Since there were no appointments at the Passport Office, we went to the Police Commissioner's Office. If you have a chance to get the PCC from the Passport Office instead of the Police Commissioner's office, I would highly recommend you to do so.

Shareen's advice greatly helped us through the process. Thank you Shareen! :)

We went on a Tuesday and landed up a little early to avoid any queues. We also tried to convince the person at the counter that we needed only a PCC and not a PVC (Police Verification Certificate) he would not budge. So we ended up taking them.
He also asked us for lots of photocopies - all pages of passport where entry and exit were stamped at immigration gates. An address proof and six photos.
He asked me for my marriage certificate but when I gave it to him, he returned it saying he didn't need it :O

He asked us to goto the local police station and check tomorrow. We were told that we can expect the PCC by end of the month. Hopefully things will go on smoothly!
