aug./sep/oct buffalo applicants... can u guys check and confirm if there has been a change in ur status>???
Mine is still the same. CIO ER complete.

However, I had sent them revised forms/documents because there was a change in my family composition. I dont know if it is related to that update.

Congrats avi_15 for your change.

Mine still says "CIO ER Complete" and same as yours when I click on it.

Thanks,

Pradeep

Dear Shareen, thanks for your valuable advise. i shall definately go by your advise & keep all the doc like latest POF, child birth certificate & Application fees for child ready & shall sent it to new delhi vo once 2nd AOR is received. i have another query in this regards, does a new born child have to undergo a medical test & what kind of test it is ? also how much will it cost for me ,my spouse and my son.

Regards,
Vicky

Hi Vicky,

The infant will just have to undergo a physician examination....and for u and ur spouse

1. Chest x-ray
2. Urine examination
3. HIV
4. VDRL
5. Physician Examination

it should cost about 5000 (u & spouse) and 700 for your son :)

This is what we did and paid for at bangalore few days back....even my 16 month daughter underwent an examination :)

Regards,

Shareen

I have submitted too in similar format.

Also, Where should I apply for police certificate?

Hi Bhavik,

U can apply either thru the RPO or the police commissioner's office.....

RPO would be a good choice if u r staying in the same address as mentioned on the passport and ur passport was issued by that RPO....then u should get it in about 3 days time....

if not apply thru the police commissioner's office....it should take about 7 days....

Is there some reason why you cannot contact the previous employer and ask them to write you a reference letter now? This is what most people have to do. It would be a shame to lose 2 points you have earned, unless you are well over the required 67 and have the luxury of taking that chance.

Hi Pippin,

Thanks for your reply, but my problem is not reference letters. I already have reference letters from my current employer and from one of my previous employers. My problem is Employment Contract, I dont have employment contarcts from previous employers.
with 19 point I would only get 66 points.

My exact question is Employment Contarcts are really important to prove your work experience? Only Employment reference letters shall not serve the purpose? and if i dont have employment contract what are the alternatives options?

I was fixed on the point that the 2) Reference Letter did not include whether the job was full or part time. That is such a critical point, especially without an employment contract that would include that information, it really leaves a huge gaping hole for the VO to jump into. That is why I was thinking you should request a new ref letter from that 2nd employer. If you can include a new letter and pay stubs or similar documents to show payment from that employer, you may be able to get away without the contract. With 66 points you cannot apply, so I think you will have to either improve your IELTS score, if you aren't already at 16, or get an air tight reference letter including ALL essential information.

Even if the VO consider it part time ( worst case - as it is not mentioned on the letter whether it was part time or full time), i will still be able to get 21 points (3.5 + 3.5/2= 5.25 years more than 4 years) but only if the VO accept reference letter.
it is very difficult for me to get another reference letter from my previous employer and also dont have any salary / pay slip. it was a small company and they were not used to all these formal documents. My only concern is if the VO will count my experience for this job without employment contract? if anybody applied without employment contract i.e. only with reference letters please share your experience here.

Thanks

As long as they have another way of verifying this experience it shouldn't be a problem. Can you get bank statements showing pay deposits? Tax declarations?
