needn't necessarily be....there have been cases, where verifications have been done once the passports had been sent for stamping....so until,v get the visa, we cant be really sure abt anything ???

Hi Indira...I got a file number but no access as of today...what may be wrong?...ta

You cannot check your ECAS before getting your File number, which usually comes with your PER, unless you have a pending application with CIC, in which case you will already have your file number.

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

A file number means your app has definitely passed the completeness check and that it's undergoing or completed eligibility review :) Please wait for the PER :)

I would suggest trying different places of birth :P. May be you can try keying in UK and colonies?

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

Dear queencougar

The basis is very simple ...... had you read all the posts relating to this particular one, you would have understood ...... ;)
Yes .. Birth Certificates/ equivalent document is a must for establishing one's correct DoB. But this document is an optional for ND applicants ...... ::)
That is the reason bindu.allam clearly referred that CIO has started accepting school certificates in place of Birth Cert. for New Delhi applicants. 'takemblues' didn't respond about his VO, instead referred about his observation on the ND tracker ..... ??? ???

On the other hand, your interpretation is correct .... :o His application may get rejected as he is not from New Delhi. He is from Pakistan (Londion VO) ...... until unless the same option is open to London VO too......

Cheers, Anil

But DoB can be established from ID card and passport. Besides requirement clearly states that

• Original birth certificates for you and your spouse or common-law partner, with certified translations into English or French. A birth certificate is normally acceptable if registration was made shortly after the birth. The birth certificate must:
o bear the name of the person whose birth it records, and
o have been issued by an official responsible for the registration of births in the municipality or district in which the birth took place.

Then why do CIO object or return applications on this base?

My file has received by CIO on 2nd/March/2011 and my NOC is a pharmacist 3131.Until now my credit card did not encashed.

On 1st March the received applications were 930

Did I catch the cap?
Are there anyone know a case like me?

dear

They look for a proof of the Date of birth certificate as per the checklist....if they found it is missing....they may return your file or if very lucky may give u a chance to submit one (which is rare)......they dont bother to check the other documents to verify one's DOB record

as in case of London VO....it is clear from the above that they need a certificate issued by registrar after birth....i m not much sure about London VO but in NDVO they accept 10th class certificate as a proof of Birth certificate if you have attached an additional copy of 10th certificate as a proof of birth certificate

Hope this will help.....plz ask or London VO applicant for more specific information about the same
