So, here's the thing! No applicants from Singapore have got Medicals/PCC request yet, and so we do not know if the deadline is 45 days or 60 days. As the CIC website clearly mentions they are valid for 3 months from the issued date to be submitted, i would suggest you to start your FBI process once again soon. There are chances that you will receive them in time for your doc submission deadline from the VO.

Try and start the process as soon as possible.

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.
You are right. He should go ahead and apply for his PCC. People should stop worrying about PCC. CIC understands the difficulty of getting PCCs especially for those who don't live in country and for those in countries where it constitutes a head ache.

As long as your PCC was not issued more than 3 months before you submitted your application, you are fine. Anytime after submission is fine. CIC will only request a new PCC if they see a need to.

CIC will assess your eligibility as at the day you submit your application. This includes funds, PCC, work experience etc. Only medicals, are required to be fresh. This is why you are meant to update CIC if there is any material change in circumstances. Only then will they ask for new documentation and that is if it is really required.

We have 27 visa offices covering the applicants of this thread, and so far only 7 visa offices (Ankara, Cairo, Manila, Mexico, New Delhi, Singapore and Tel Aviv) have responded with 2nd AOR or further.

Given the first 2nd AOR was early February we're already a month on, am getting a bit concerning that the other visa offices seem to be slipping so far behind.

Any of the applicants from the other 20 visa offices heard ANYTHING at all to suggest some movement? :)

Wayne.

Hi dear friend

Damascus seem to be in the same position as Buffalo and London. Many applicants, utter silence on 2nd AOR + meds side of things.

Until the first person reports they have heard something we have no idea of timescales. Could be days. Could be weeks, May even be months before we hear something :( Hopefully we're talking about weeks at worst though.

Of course it is not just Damascus, Buffalo and London - but the other 17 visa offices have just a few applicants at each. Damascus, Buffalo and London represent 92 of the remaining 152 applications which are with visa offices not yet issuing 2nd AORs. So basically once Damascus, Buffalo and London start moving on 2nd AORs that will cover 2/3rds of the remaining applicants!

I need to be little more clear on this. I have applied to CIO on 7th Oct 2010 and i have a PCC [FBI Clearance] dated on 23rd NOV 2010 which is 1.5 months after i submitted to CIO. Then on 8th FEB 2011, i got PER and i am expecting additional document (PCC - since i did not include with my application to CIO) request anytime now. But since a new FBI clearance takes approximately 3 months - i am worried that even if i am given 45 days time then i would not be able to make it. If my Nov 23rd is valid, then no issue. But if not, then i will be in a situation from which i cannot take myself out. I also cannot apply for FBI clearance from Bangladesh (My home country) as most law enforcement agents here are unable to perform the procedures accurately and i need to travel to India to do this which cannot happen in another 2 weeks [with all visa formalities and office leave].

Any advices?

Thanks,

Aakash

Try the "CID Headquarters, Malibagh, Dhaka". They do pretty decent job taking fingerpring for FBI. They have fingerprinting service to their ground floor. You will need a chalan for only 100 taka. Send the Fingerprint card with the cover letter via FEDEX ;Very convenient you dont have to go to India. Hope it helps.

dear waune
I only it will not take years for damascus and other VOs to respond since damascus does not have any good background specially regarding Iranians.lets pray they will process the post june 2010 faster than the their backlogs. I believe it will be faster.....optimistically :)

Well I certainly hope the other visa offices wake up soon - but simply hope alone doesn't make things happen!

So all we can do is wait until then. I keep checking trackitt.com to see if anyone has reported anything outside of this thread but most of the applicants on there are <J26.

I agree with Dr. Ray that their service is pretty good. Moreover they use the same Fingerprint form that is used by FBI. So, obviously all information will be there that are required by FBI.
