Today I was trying to think like the Big Boys and Girls in the Sandbox while looking at the spreadsheet (although I never was a numbers person). Does the dwindling number of applicants mean: a)the majority of those who had 67 points have already applied; b) many people don't commit themselves to the spreadsheet until they have Fees or PER; c) there may be a tsunami coming as everyone gets agitated by the recent talk of programme changes; or d) some or none of the above?
No of App/Month: Sept - 81, Oct - 67, Nov - 25, Dec - 20, Jan - 11

Conjectures?

I think number of applicants may be dwindling. Notice that majority of applicants are spread through about 6 NOC codes? And those 6 are mostly medical professions?
As soon as NOC 3131 fills up for example, the rate of new applicants will drop more even further.

Yes i'm from Bangladesh

My NOC Code: 8222/1122 (Dont know yet which NOC was considered by CIC. Guessing that 8222. As 1122 reached cap before my docs reached them)

E-CAS status: In process

Also written in e-cas that " we received your application on Dec 17th"

I agree with spokes. The maximum number of applicants were from the 1122, 3152 and 3131. The first 2 have been filled already and once 3131 also hits 1000 apps, the number of new applicants will decrease significantly. This lines up with our prediction of 11000 odd applicants for post june 2010-2011. I think we can safely assume that there is no way all the NOCs will hit the 1000 caps by June, especially for our crane operator friends. :P

This is another reason for why I don't understand why some VOs are taking so long to respond. They were surely expecting far more applications than what they have received, plus they had quite a few months to try and deal with the backlogs.

Oh well, I guess only time will tell.

hey anil!
could you add Samdhaka to the spreadsheet and paint it blue, others waitning behind will have more timline to get PER.
Now its time for post 18thnov applicant :P :P :P
Thank you

.. ;D.. CONGRATULATION POST ..;D..

Dear Moori & Shareen

Congrats for the 2nd AOR ....... as if ND VO suddenly got up and trying to be in pace with Manila VO ... :o .......

Cheers, Anil

Have our number crunchers looked at the number of applicants we have in each NOC on the spreadsheet and compared them to the stats sent out by CIO. Do we still represent 4% of the overall FSW1 category?
As the NERs and other rejected applications are removed from the main tracking sheet t is hard to tell, but are there enough to determine what percentage of applications they are failing?

Hi smiler, the ecas reports are not being updated at the moment because there is a bug in the system which is giving everyone a standard 'in process' response. Once it is corrected and shows the actual stage the spreadsheets will be updated.

Statistically, the total number of applications (260+) could have been enuf to arrive at a close estimate had our sample size been purely randomly chosen........but as it turns out, it's not purely random -- only a particular segment is in the tracker -- those who use internet research a lot (like me and I think many others) and stumble upon such forums n then join it.

I hope u get my point.
