According to the latest update(updated on 23 dec,2010) IELTS is valid for 2 years

Thanks....just getting mentally prepared to receive my file back for some reason...since my IELTS score is already one year old...i was worried that i wouldnt be able to reapply as soon as i get my application back (i hope i don't get it back)...but just in case...

this is their new system. I suggest you to enquire through this one, since they deleted the email address (FSW-Sydney-Search-Enquiry @ cic.gc.ca)
from their website
