Correct. If you send in the format other than requested (i.e. not in a University sealed envelope) you risk rejection, simple as that. You might be lucky and get away with notarized photocopies of transcripts; I have even heard of people having plain photocopies accepted - but why risk it? It's just giving them an excuse to fail you.

In my University the do not give two originals only one. I have the original with me. It is even written at the bottom of the paper that only one original is issued and it is in the interest of the candidate to make certified copies. When i requested the university to give me original the simply check the marks and then make a copy and put stamps on it and sent to me. When i sent it to the visa officer he said it is a copy.

What can i do then. It is a problem for me.

Help suggest what to do.

No I ask my university to give me another one in university sealed envelop and the gave me an attested copy by the university and sealed it in an envelop and sent to me. I have seen in my Caips notes and VO says it is not original.

I guess he might ask for the originals later, i am still waiting for him to ask.

Thanks Wayne and Indira. I have another query that is my son had stayed in another country for 9 months. We have taken his good conduct letter for that country around 2 years back and after that my son had not visited that country. Now do we need take a fresh PCC from that country ? Please guide.

Is your son 18+? If yes, you will have to get a fresh one issued.

Well, your application will be assessed based on the rules at the time your application. Any subsequent rule change will not be applied retrospectively.

but its just my 2 cents.

Based on my VO (London), yes. London VO requires you to submit Original transcript in the uni sealed envelop. I had to request for three transcripts - one undergraduate and two postgraduate and all in the institutions' sealed envelops.
