Can we submit Notarized Photocopies of Transcripts instead of Original Transcripts in University Sealed Envelopes? The visa office is London and Applicant will submit application to CIO in a couple of days.

Hi, as far as i am aware, if london vo asking for original transcript in university sealed envelope, then that is what they want as all documents eventually end up in the london vo. I would not like to risk sending something other than what is reqested. Not sure what anyone else thinks??

"What to do when you no longer have ORIGINAL IELTS result with you when you require to send it together with complete application to CIO,NS"

As per CIO instruction guide;page no 8, regarding sending IELTS result:
"Do not request that your (IELTS-General Training, CELPIP-General or TEF) language test result be sent directly to the CIO. Submit your original language proficiency test results with your complete application to the CIO."

i.e applicants must send IELTS result together with complete application package to CIO otherwise it will not get accepted.
Now, it has been a concern that some applicants lost their IELTS result and IELTS test center(British council/IDP) refuses to provide another Original copy to the applicants.According to British Council/IDP they are ready to send the origial IELTS result to any authorized institution/body(CIO is one of the them). So applicants are in a great dilemma sicne neither IELTS test centre provides an extra Origial IELTS result to applicants nor CIO accept it if IETLS test centre send IELTS result directly to CIO without complete application package.


POSSIBLE SOLUTION:

When applicant requests IELTS test centre (British council/IDP) to send his result to CIO, they usually ask applicant to fill in a form and pay for the courier charge. Applicants can choose any courier service provider like FedEx/TNT/DHL/UPS etc. Good news is IELTS test centre allows applicants to send any other document with the IELTS result. All you need to do is to hand over your complete application package sealed in an envelop (put a cover letter inside stating that IELTS result is in a separate envelop) to the test centre and they will give the IELTS result together with your application pack to the Courier service. Courier service has their own envelop so 2 envelops (1 for IELTS, 1 for Application pack) will compile inside 1 big envelop and it is ready to dispatch to CIO.

Hello Dr. Hasib, if i may....... this is also my concern now. I sent my full application last Oct 28, 2010 CIO received it Nov. 3. The following day they sent it back through regular / snail mail due to incompleteness. My NOC is 3113. I do understand that what i have submitted was a trash since my presentation lacks an overwhelming presentation. NOW, i am ready to submit a well presented documents but my setback is that i still don't have the returned package with me and it's already 4 months. I emailed eilts and YES they suggested to request it from the Test center where i got my exam. IS THERE ANY possibility that my review center could ask or request the result for me?? I cannot penetrate the email ad of my IELTS center in Manila but i can send them letter through DHL.

Is it safe for us to course through our FD to the listed couriers? Thank you for your time and advices.

IMO yes, it must be translated into English or French and notarized.

Thanks Wayne and Indira. I have another query that is my son had stayed in another country for 9 months. We have taken his good conduct letter for that country around 2 years back and after that my son had not visited that country. Now do we need take a fresh PCC from that country ? Please guide.

Looks like someone has already done it! Yes weekend is going ok - trying to record some music for YouTube (haven't done any for about a year or so) and my damn video camera is broke! grrrrrrr. Will get a new one in a couple of weeks when I get paid (maybe).

Off to a Lego birthday party this afternoon (my friend's 36th birthday is Lego themed and he is having a Lego challenge as to who can build the best Lego car (whilst drunk) to certain specifications)!.

Correct. If you send in the format other than requested (i.e. not in a University sealed envelope) you risk rejection, simple as that. You might be lucky and get away with notarized photocopies of transcripts; I have even heard of people having plain photocopies accepted - but why risk it? It's just giving them an excuse to fail you.

Hey Capricorn,

Just go to the ielts test center where you took your exam. Ask them for duplicate copies. They will charge you the fee for extra copies.They will then place an order with central IELTS for up to 5 copies to be sent to their office.These copies are not submitted to you ,but are sent by the test center to the address of some specific designated bodies like universities and of course Canada immigration offices. Make sure you have prepared your application package by the time they receive the duplicates.Then go to the test center and submit your full package to them. They will add the IELTS TRF and send it to the address you give them via DHL or other couriers.
