It's not the slowest in the world, in fact in a recent survey it was voted #12 out of 44 visa offices for efficiency. It is a very BUSY visa office and they won't be the fastest, but I don't think they will be as slow as you think. They had a massive influx of applications around April to June 2010 at CIO of almost 100,000 - and this has been taking its toll at the visa offices. But the visa offices have also had 6+ months since the new rules came out of receiving no new FSW1 applications, and so this hopefully has enabled them to catch up most of the >Feb 2008 backlog.

I think we'll get medical requests between March and May (hoping April at the latest) and I think we'll get visas by July at the latest.

Wayne.

my best hope is april of course i'm planing to land in the end of this year or next year max.

Dear Wayne,

I have recently changed my job and moved to another country. I notified the VO (London) regarding these changes by emailing them; following was the email address:

London-im-enquiry @ international.gc.ca

I would like to know:

1. Is the email address I used to notify them, correct?

2. Is there any additional thing I need to do?

3. Initially I didn't send the PCC's of my wife and me. I have them now but they are around 1.5 months old. My eCAS status is "RBVO". Since I am out of my country, it would be difficult for me to acquire the PCC's from my home country once they expire after 3 months. I have apprehensions about these and don't know when the VO personnel would ask for them. Chances are, they would expire by then. What do you suggest me, should I send the PCC's to the VO, London or wait for their correspondence?

Thanks in advance!

Ammaar

Hello senior

Please advise me for how to get Australian full PCC from India,
as I been there more than 6 month while ago.

Hello,

I think my previous post was not read by any one :'( :'( :'( !!! please reply, any idea???

I got some links in my PER e-mail, one of that link is "www.newcomersuccess.ca", in this website i am seeing that they are providing some counselling sessions in our home country only.

I just want to ask, has any one use this service? is it actually works in India? is it informative? is there any harm in giving personal information?

Regards,
Rupal

hi...

just got our request for MEDICAL dated Feb.8, 2011

DGM

congrats, and God be with you for the Medical.Cheers!!! ;D

ammaartahir, don't notify them by email, use a case-specific query on your visa office's website. If you have moved to another country it is vital that the visa office acknowledges your new address. Have a look around here for the online form for London:
http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/united_kingdom-royaume_uni/visas/update-how_mettre-comment.aspx?lang=eng#email

Regarding your PCC, wait until visa office contact you. For someone people, who have had med requests, the visa office has said they will accept PCC up to 6 months told, in which case you should have enough time to use your existing ones.

Best of luck,
Wayne.

Congrats dgm and urbinajanice :)
I can see that Manila VO has issued either medical requests or 2nd AOR (and we know MR is not too far from 2nd AOR) for all the applicants in our spreadsheet upto 23 September (my application date :()
But ND is still silent and not even a single application is acknowledged atleast for the initial members....
I thought I would be relieved after getting PER but time has proven otherwise. I hope all the other VOs let the process actually look fastrack like Manila.

If you want a helpful response lots of frowny faces and exclamation marks are not the best way to get it....

Aye some VO are clearly faster than others. Some people who got PER 23 November haven't heard a dicky bird from their VO yet.

Hopefully the slowest VO won't be more than a couple of months behind the fastest.

Wayne.

I had written an email to ND VO informing them that ecas continues to show my old address and that it has not been updated; today I received a reply from them that yes they have indeed received my request for change of address and that it has not yet been updated... In the same inquiry I also mentioned that I was informed that my my file is in transit from canada to ND, so now what is the current status; they conveniently avoided answering to the query

Hi,

I'm sailing in the same boat. However, In my case I have changed the job (Principal Applicant). I have used case specific enquiry system to update CHC New Delhi, along with written explanation, have also enclosed my new employment contract details, previous company service certificate & relieving letter for there reference.

Link:https://dmp-portal.cic.gc.ca/cicemail/intro-eng.aspx?mission=new delhi

I got immediate automated reply which state as " This confirms receipt of your email to the New Delhi Visa Office".

Further I have not received any communication from them.

Regards,Raj.

Thanks Raj,

That really helped. I have updated the changed details.

Thanks again for pointing me to the right place. +1 from me.
