Wow congrats urbinajanice! So it only takes less than a month from CIO to reach Manila since you received your per jan 25.

Expect your MR next week!

This is really amazing! Blessings are pouring from Manila VO :)

It's not the slowest in the world, in fact in a recent survey it was voted #12 out of 44 visa offices for efficiency. It is a very BUSY visa office and they won't be the fastest, but I don't think they will be as slow as you think. They had a massive influx of applications around April to June 2010 at CIO of almost 100,000 - and this has been taking its toll at the visa offices. But the visa offices have also had 6+ months since the new rules came out of receiving no new FSW1 applications, and so this hopefully has enabled them to catch up most of the >Feb 2008 backlog.

I think we'll get medical requests between March and May (hoping April at the latest) and I think we'll get visas by July at the latest.

Wayne.

Why would CIO strongly advise people to include their PCC with their application if they were not confident that most cases would be finalised in 1 year?

It may take a while to hear 2nd AOR + med requests from visa office, but I think once you get those you should be looking max 2 to 3 months to get visa.

Yes, that was the time when CIO redirected all Pakistani applications to London and they were no longer processed in Islamabad VO.

Thanks Indira! Please update me in the spreadsheet...

2nd AOR: Feb 16, 2011
Ecas: still CIO eligibility complete
File Number: E00
Target Destination: Toronto, ON

Wishing all the best to all of us
