My ECAS status says "In Process"
We received your application for permanent residence on August 16, 2010.
Your application was reviewed and we started processing on February 4, 2011.

Interesting :)

They started to process your file on Feb 4th and sent you the medical requests in 3 days, dated Feb 7th :) That's incredible :o :o :o

What are the other VOs doing ??? ??? ????

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

I think the other early per receivers have currently the same ecas status as with krislovesau

Happy Valentine's day for couples in this forum :) and a fruitful week begins

@nursemich,
could you please tell us what your status is in ECAS, and after clicking the link?
I dont seem to understand why its been changed from in process to received by VO for a few of us, if we get MR when it says in process. ::)Going a step back doesnt make sense

Bindu, as far as I am concerned, it was never truly "In Process". That was just a status they had on without regard to its definition.

They are now updating it to its correct status ... hence it says "rcvd by VO etc...."

EG: My status has never been anything but "IN PROCESS" - no rcvd by CIO / rcvd by vo etc. It's hard to believe by that definition that VO has completed all its checks in my app!

To summarize, you true status is what it reflects now ..."rcvd by VO"!

Congrats ... this Manila VO seems to be the quickest application processor. Good :)

There is a strong suspicion that security/background checks are run concurrently with medicals - so once a visa office decides to start "processing" they are pretty much going to be sending medicals out right away. Obviously with <J26 applicants this was not the case since there was a final eligibility review and selection/admissability to be done.

So I think once people get their 2nd AOR they will get medical requests quite soon.

However, I still suspect that the process will vary slightly from VO to VO and that some offices will simply send out medical requests.
