Applications after 26/6 in any NOC CONNECT HERE TO GET THE STATUS

I have just received an email asking me to do General IELTS within 120 days and that my file is still being held at CIO, as opposed to be sent to the VO as indicated in PER 3 months back. While I'm grateful to be given a chance to send additional info/doc, at the same time I am really heart broken to see it took 7 months in total just to tell me this.
Since I applied by myself, I had gone through the OP6 thoroughly before applying and this requirement for 'General IELTS only' was not there until 2-3 weeks after I had send out my application in July. I wish I had not applied so early after the rules changed, rather it was better to have waited 1-2 months more so that they had stabilized themselves with changing rules. Feeling very dissapointed of all these months of wait & hopefulness after getting PER -why would it take 3 months after sending PER to realise this, why coiuldnt they tell this a little earlier? Theres no IELTS date open before March, which means I cant sent it out before end of March. So now I am as good as sending an application in April 2011. I am thankful to be given a chance, but cant help this feeling of being heart broken to be send right at the back of the queue...while I dreamed of landing this year, now it seems my file will hardly reach VO this year

Very sorry to hear this , you being the first person in our tracker . I can understand your frustration, but this is actually not very bad. You already have your PER, and so, once you send the IELTS results, i see no reason for a delay to send your file to your VO. So, even if you send your results before March, by April/May your VO should receive your file and start processing it. Yes, i still believe there are some issues with the files getting physically transferred now, but in a month or 2, they will have established some routine transfers successfully .

So, you still have chances to get the Visas this year

I sent my application via a immigration agency I know they paid by credit card and I got the receit number within PER email but I have no Idea when it was cashed.
My file Number starts with E00
Our Status reads: Intake office eligibility review completed.
By the way My PCC as well as IELTS were sent with application.

I checked today to see my status on ECAS says "Centralized Intake Office Sydney (CIO-S) Eligibility Review Complete" and the funny part was that it has been changed on spreadsheet without me mentioning ! : And my first 3 digits are E00.
I also would like to congratulate the victory of Egyptian to our Egyptian forumers, a very well deserved one!

I had detailed my story earlier also but got very few replies.
I need help this time please guide.
I had sent my application on 19th in NOC 3131.I am an indian living in Germany.So sent from germany.I used credit card as my mode of payment because my bank did not understand what bank draft is.

Unfortunately on 22nd my purse got stolen which had my creditcard.so credit card was stopped immediately.


So on 24th I sent a new payment form with details of my wife credit card(only form) with my details of DOB so that they can relate it with my application and widpolice report.
On 27th I wrote email to them. I got reply of that mail from them on 7th that my application has been returned on 1st Feb because my credit card declined.
Then I checked with my wifes bank for detail of transaction from her credit card.They took money from her credit card.So they took our fees also.

Now I have contacted them again to clarify my situation because on the one hand they are saying that they returned my application and on the other hand they took fees with my wifes credit card.

I am very tense as my CAP 3131 is also nearing its capacity.
If the application is returned how long will it take to reach me please guide.
Is there any way to reach these CIO people...........

I am sorry for your misfortune, It usually takes 2-3 months
but if I were you I would probably call them again & recheck that they returned it... for why then did they take the money?!!!

Hi there,
I went to an information session about living and working in Canada yesterday. It was organised by the International Job Center in Brussels and given by a visa specialist from VO Paris, France. Although most of it was already known to people of this forum, I managed to confirm one bit of information and learned something new, both of which I want to share with you.
I'm afraid it will only make the few of us who are FSW2 here happy but of course I wish our FSW1 friends all the best.

1. The visa specialist confirmed that, once the applications reach VO, FSW2 are treated with higher priority then FSW1.

2. Also, and this is new to me but maybe not to the forum, FSW2 can apply for a Temporary Work Permit while waiting for news on their Permanent Residency. Apparently, a TWP only takes an average of 7 weeks to obtain. Medicals for the PR can be taken in Canada. Of course, there is some risk to this as there is the odd chance you get refused because of your (family's) medicals and you are left with only your one year TWP... Also, what I don't know is whether your file is then transferred to Buffalo, since they treat all applicants that are already in Canada. This could of course cause additional delay but as I said, I am not sure of this (there were a lot of people and I wasn't the only one asking questions )

Since there aren't too many FSW, us being treated in priority shouldn't cause too much of a delay for our FSW1 friends.

Can I please ask was this visa specialist actually a visa officer from the VO? Or just an immigration lawyer/consultant?

My understanding is that getting another TWP isn't the problem, it's getting another positive LMO. The employer must once again advertise the position for at least 2 weeks in the previous 3 months for it to be granted.

I agree.. Please call them up to confirm if your file is actually returned. Indicate that they have taken the payment out of your second credit card.

One of the members here used a fax number to sort out a different issue that he had.......I think it was Advance123 but I am not sure.......he was fron Buffalo VO.......so u can narrow down ur man from spreadsheet....u can search some old posts n u'll know..........then u can send a concise one pager explaining ur situation with ur application details and hope for the best.......gud luck !!!
