Hi Wayne,

My Ecas status has been now reverted to "recieved by Visa Office", looks like VO has taken a step backward after all these days, I'm suprised as well as bit dippressed with this development, what's your thought - will this further dealy the process ?

Cheers
Bindu

Ours has also changed to "Received by Visa Office". I am still perplexed by this visa office review complete stage, since the final eligibility review has been done by CIO!

Ah well, change is progress, I guess! ;)

Wayne.

my Ecas status is now :Centralized Intake Office Sydney (CIO-S) ELIGIBILITY REVIEW COMPLETE

Welcome and congrats on your PER :). You are added to the tracker.

Please confirm if your payment was through CC or BD.

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

Thank you! The payment was through CC. Any idea why the status is not "Eligibility Review Complete" and is just shown as "Received application on Sep 9th"? Its more than a month since I received the PER. :-\ This is quite confusing!

I updated your ECAS Status to Application Recd.

Dont worry, the ECAS is not accurate and as we see, we are expecting some correction to the system by next week :)

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

Hi Simiarun,

I too had applied via a consultant as I was not aware of such a friendly and usefull forum, as a result I had to pay around 60k Rs for their services.

Had someone told me about this forum I would have applied it myself.., I dont understand why WWICS wants CIO to direclty communicate with them rather than the applicant, there is some hidden intention with WWICS, I got the PER delivered to my Inbox..

You can use this info when you talk to them next time, your time and money is invaluable they have to serve you in a professional way...

All the Best

Bindu

Hello....

Travelling in a same boat....no updates from WWICS. If only known this forum. have saved money as well as time. Apart from that we might not face this problem and tension.

I also applied by consultant. I live in Poland and her office is in Canada. As mailing adress she wrote her address in Canada - this is absurd, because all the paper correspondence will go from Poland (my VO) to Canada and then from Canada to Poland (to me) - f.ex. meds request. So i'm going to change it. I'll add to my file second e-mail address (mine) and change mailing address to my address. On monday i'm going to call my VO to know how to do it but i'am pretty sure that i can do it personally (i'll go to Warsaw then) or by post.

Cay_sha,

I advise you to go through your contract conditions. Make sure that by direct contact from you is not against your contract . Beoz.. what what WWICS contract says. Also if you make direct contact to your VO then your VO will give reply you to contact through your Auth. representative .

Regards,
Mayank

Legal process is a nigthmare in India.......one might end up spending years to resolve such disputes (or for that matter any kind of dispute)..........DIY is the best route..........

In my experience immigration lawyers and consultants are only fool proof in the sense that they regularly prove that they are fools ;)

The sheer and unforgiveable level of professional incompetence I have witnessed from feedback from some users on this forum makes we wonder why some of these consultants were not shut down for extortion and professional malpractice a long time ago.

I have just received an email asking me to do General IELTS within 120 days and that my file is still being held at CIO, as opposed to be sent to the VO as indicated in PER 3 months back. While I'm grateful to be given a chance to send additional info/doc, at the same time I am really heart broken to see it took 7 months in total just to tell me this.

Since I applied by myself, I had gone through the OP6 thoroughly before applying and this requirement for 'General IELTS only' was not there until 2-3 weeks after I had send out my application in July. I wish I had not applied so early after the rules changed, rather it was better to have waited 1-2 months more so that they had stabilized themselves with changing rules. Feeling very dissapointed of all these months of wait & hopefulness after getting PER -why would it take 3 months after sending PER to realise this, why coiuldnt they tell this a little earlier? Theres no IELTS date open before March, which means I cant sent it out before end of March. So now I am as good as sending an application in April 2011. I am thankful to be given a chance, but cant help this feeling of being heart broken to be send right at the back of the queue...while I dreamed of landing this year, now it seems my file will hardly reach VO this year :(
sorry if I have spoiled your moods, but feeling really sad

I understand... but take it in positive way that CIO allowed you 120 days instead of rejection.

Focus on IELTS & submit ASAP...

Good Luck..
