Definitely option 1. If he's truly highly connected and getting the so called "insider help" the last place you want to come and publicize that is an open forum where your identity can be narrowed down and such info can be used against you. Moreover if he's so guaranteed to get his PR within 3 months, what does he need the spreadsheet tracker for? What is he tracking? I am all against unnecessary censorship, but i think we may have to keep an eye on this one. Hacker alert guys!

Indeed 9jcanada, I wonder if it is our friend "Adios" or one of his pals... Glad we did not open the gates on our valued spreadsheet. Who knows the damage some may wish to cause... being cautious may be the best way to proceed here...

Morning everyone.

I have an observation or comment!

I just saw my status and it says "Received by Visa Office" instead of "In Process"

.....

Ours has also changed to "Received by Visa Office". I am still perplexed by this visa office review complete stage, since the final eligibility review has been done by CIO!

Ah well, change is progress, I guess! ;)

Immigration Canada will evaluate each applicant's personal circumstances and determine whether they merit humanitarian and compassionate consideration. In my case, they replied promptly in my email by requesting me the remaining requirements.

I am still at a loss to understand why there should be compassionate or humanitarian grounds for rushing your application through, just because you have to fly to Canada to take an exam? Surely you can do this as a visitor even if your residency is not approved by then?

As I said, FSW2 applicants with TWPs expiring have far more urgent circumstances facing them.

Hi Wayne:

This means the clock has started ticking for you, since your VO finally has received your application. Now in 6 to 12 months you should have it. Unfortunately for me it still says, In Process. Damn Buffalo office is flooded with applications.

Wayne.

let's put it the other way around, Why would they require me to apply for a TRV if they can approve my PR early. I am not competing with applicants with expiring TWP.

We have different set of assumptions and opinions and I respect yours. The end of this topic.

Hi everybody

Need some help. After some advice from Katyspring I decided to call the CIO to see if I would be able to obtain my Client ID so that I could try to check my status on ECAS. However when I call through to the number it advises me that the menu options have changed and when you select the option relating to emigration it gives you a contact number if you are in Canada and tells you to look at their website if you are outside Canada and hangs up!

Is anybody else having problems getting through to the Call Centre? I called on 001 613 944 4000? I also checked the CIC webpage and it advises the same thing, if your in Canada call a certain number for the Call Centre otherwise it advises of the following - by contacting the Canadian embassy, high commission or consulate serving your region, if you live outside of Canada.

Highlander

Hello Highlander,
I had the same experience when I called this week. My experience is just as you described above. Can anybody that has called CIO this week post the contact number please.
Thank you.
Shalom

Thanks for the support Wayne..
My aunt is a Canadian citizen and lives in Ontario.. To the best of my knowledge Ontario PNP, unlike Alberta or Saskatchewan PNP, doesn't have any family sponsor category for Other relatives..
My best hope is if 1122 survives in the new 2011 list and I can apply again with my Aunt's docs.. or Quebec seems another option.. I know little French as it was my third language in school.. I will have to sit for TEF certification and atleast gain beginner level score and apply for Quebec CSQ.. My technical diploma fortunately comes under Quebec's shortage list category as in Quebec they evaluate one's profile based on tertiary education (mostly technical trades) and moreover the CIO has approved my diploma( got 22 points for education).
FSW2 seems very difficult and is costly..
Any advise ..

Very sorry to hear about your NER Westwards :(.

As Wayne said, that's not the end of the road :). This only means your landing date is postponed :P :P

I wish you apply for the QSW ASAP and get your PR soon:).

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.
