I don't believe this.. I GOT A NER :o.. Damn.. They didn't give me points for relationship b'cos my brother is currently not residing in Canada.. I should have used my Aunt's citizenship documents.. I hope 1122 will be included in the list for 2011-12... will have to wait and see..

I wish all the best to everyone who got their PERs :).. For me the waiting just got longer...

Terribly sorry to hear your news Westwards :( But I admire your attitude, your task might have gotten a bit longer to accomplish, but you will get it done... and once you are in Canada, you will forget about the extra months caused by this misfortune. More power to you my friend.

Well, it was always my thinking that while our ecas said In Process, that the applications had not yet been received by our VOs. If I am correct all of us should shortly see our ecas say, received by VO.

Hi Nursemich,

I mean this with respect, but I seriously doubt visa office would put someone to the front of the queue because they have to take an exam. They could easily argue you could fly to Canada as a visitor and take the exam. There are people with TWPs expiring in June/July which could be argued is more urgent than your needs. I really don't think arguments of urgency will affect when a visa office processes an application. Everything I have read at the visa office's own websites states that applications will be processed in the order they arrive.

Manila office is clearly at the faster end of the pool so I'd expect other Manila applicants to be getting medical requests very soon. Admittedly I am just guessing :)

Wayne.

Immigration Canada will evaluate each applicant’s personal circumstances and determine whether they merit humanitarian and compassionate consideration. In my case, they replied promptly in my email by requesting me the remaining requirements.

There is no doubt that they considered my situation because there are those who applied ahead of me, and I got the medical request ahead of them. I have also heard that some who applied for TRV with current PR application were denied, so I have included in my letter that "I believe that applying for a Temporary Resident Visa with awaiting PR application decision is irrational if the process can be fast tracked with this kind of situation"

Let see if I am able to take my exam in Canada on June, If visa is issued on April or May, then we are assured that they do really consider such factors :)

Nursemich did not receive medical requests via email as an attachment. She merely received notification by email that they sent medical requests to her, by snail mail. She only received an email because she had enquired about her status. We think normally VO will not email you AND snail mail you, they will just send med requests by snail mail.

Wayne.

Hi Wayne, just to correct, I did not inquire about my status. I emailed them, on the day I have received my 2nd AOR, to give them info about the details of my husband's change in employment and I made a request. My email's subject is "FSW applicant changes and request"

Also, they did not specifically note that it was sent through "snail" mail. Here in the Philippines, courier and mail are considered both as "mail", unless noted as ordinary/regular mail then that is what we know as snail mail.

Just tell me the name of this exam and I'll email CIO that I'm taking it with you? :) This is not an exam, it is a ticket on your spaceship :P

Seriously though, I am so glad things have worked out for you, best of luck on that exam Nursemisch, hope you ace it 8)

Yes Wayne,

They have just communicated that in their mail. They indicated that they have already sent out the RPRF, Medicals and the PCC request by mail and that they will not be able to finalize an application without receiving all of them. Also they indicated that they will not be able to give a date by when they will be able to issue the visas(this means this application is no special and will be given a place in the queue as usual).

I'm sure few other Manila applicants have their medical requests on the way already by snail mail(this can take days and weeks depending on the distance?). Just that she has got a response to her earlier email asking for a date when her application would likely be finalized, indicating the exams as a reason to ask for it.

Moral of the story - Guys please keep an eye on your post boxes for medicals :)

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

Hi Indira, just to clarify, I did not ask when my application would be finalized. I requested my file to be fast tracked. I only told them about my situation. Below is the portion of my email:(removed)

I guess if they did not consider my email they would reply negatively as :

We have noted the information you have provided, However, applications are processed in the order that they are received. Other requirements will be requested in a timely manner... (or some other phrase with a message like this)

The email that I got is somehow way to different than the assumed negative response, isn't it?

Well anyway, whatever response they made, my only purpose is to migrate successfully and I need to take that exam to be a successful nurse in Canada, that is the profession that I applied through. :)

lets see if I will be able to take the said exam. :)

(I have modified and remove my email portion of this message for security purposes)

Now comes the interesting part.... about Michael.... I can interpret only 2 possible things ...

(1) The person is a crazy dude or some crooked consultant with an intention of getting into the thread and sources attached to that ...... Just for his own (unknown) not so good reasons ...
(2) The guy may be a genuine one....... YES.... I was on the chat ...... including Amr and Temasek. The fellow confirmed that he has good connections in UN and with diplomatic authority he is getting everything done under real Fast Track (rather Super Fast!!!). He is a specialist physician for the UN members / diplomats. (if the guy is just making up a story .... see srl. # 1... :D). This guy has been promised a PR with in 3 months... :o :o .... How true don't know..... He also confirmed that present process will be real fast from mid Feb. There are not many people working in CIO ..... but whoever is there, they are working quite hard. .......... 8) 8)...

Cheers, Anil

Definitely option 1. If he's truly highly connected and getting the so called "insider help" the last place you want to come and publicize that is an open forum where your identity can be narrowed down and such info can be used against you. Moreover if he's so guaranteed to get his PR within 3 months, what does he need the spreadsheet tracker for? What is he tracking? I am all against unnecessary censorship, but i think we may have to keep an eye on this one. Hacker alert guys!
