I dont think they have made any mistake. They clearly say - They have his submission and they are processing it. They have only used a different format than manila VO and it is more like pre june 2010 format. I don't think it is a mistake.

Hi Kolhapuri:

You may be right, although I'm not comfortable with:

"Before your application can be placed in processing, our office will make a final determination as to whether or not you are eligible for processing. If your application is not eligible for processing, you will receive a letter informing you of the reasons for the determination as well as a refund."

Our PERs clearly state, we have cleared Final Eligibility, there would be no refunds after this, and your application is now sent to your VO for processing. They do say in the letter that they have his submission, which could be what they used to tell people with a pre June 26 application, but they are certainly not telling him his application is being processed... they say it needs to pass "a final determination as to whether or not you are eligible for processing," as quoted above.

You are right here too. I am just saying that they have used the Pre june 26 2010 letter, added an extra line of "We have received your submission" and have send it off. So it doent make sense in total. No doubt about it. I totally agree with you. But I think he need not do anything, take this as a preocedural error as done by ND VO previously and forget about it until he hears back from them again. What i mean is the applicant doent need to raise this with VO and increase the confusion. When the VO officer wakes up and smells the coffee, he will realise this and correct it.

Thanks Cam, same here! ;D

I agree with MSM-2332 as well, it appears from the spreadsheet that applicants prior to Sept 23rd (roughly) have been given the B file numbers and those after have received the E numbers. Relating to what sgcandle posted earlier, it could be that the GCMS was started somewhere around the 23rd of Sept and that those of us who have the B file numbers will be sent an E number once the VOs communicate with us.

Hi Indira,
Mine is B05. I haven't made PER yet; though I hope to do by next week or go completely nuts! :'(
And I haven't being added to the spread sheet yet too (though I've been screaming from the roof tops to be added)
And I can't access the E-CAS too!
Somebody help!!!!!!

Done :) Please could you indicate about PCCs if they were sent or not?

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

Whoa! Yeah, who is Michael39? (Last entry in the spreadsheet), your timelines are amazing!!!!

Looks like Michael39 and spokes have thrown the 23rd Sept theory out the window already :o ???

Hi Indira, you also missed my answer. The email regarding the request for Medicals was received a few days after I have emailed them about the changes in the employment details of my husband. In addition, I have informed them about my profession, that it is regulated, and that I need to take an exam in Canada on June, I mentioned to consider my application as fast tracked so as not let the opportunity pass to be a registered nurse in Canada. I guess that really facilitated the process of my application.

Thanks Nursemich :) Somehow i missed your answer :(..

So, it's clear that the VOs do not actually confirm by email that the medicals are sent out by snail mail. We need to really have an eye on the post boxes :o :o for the medicals to arrive 8)

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

@ Spokes, please could you confirm how you got your file number? It might be that he/she got it from a previous application?

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

The details also cannot be right. I believe he must have applied fairly early. With a B0573 number (ours is B0579) I don't see a February applicant being issued an earlier number in the series. Nobody gets a PER one day after encashment! :)

I am sure we just must have got a few of the dates wrong somewhere.

Hi Nursemich,

I mean this with respect, but I seriously doubt visa office would put someone to the front of the queue because they have to take an exam. They could easily argue you could fly to Canada as a visitor and take the exam. There are people with TWPs expiring in June/July which could be argued is more urgent than your needs. I really don't think arguments of urgency will affect when a visa office processes an application. Everything I have read at the visa office's own websites states that applications will be processed in the order they arrive.

Manila office is clearly at the faster end of the pool so I'd expect other Manila applicants to be getting medical requests very soon. Admittedly I am just guessing :)
