Thirdly, coming back to the discussiob about B and E file nos, I suggest that E states for electronic (Cur-Rozen's info) and it also relates to the GCMS system. That is in my opinion a real fast track (Nursemich to confirm that her/his file starts with E). All who has B (including me) are for some reason included into the older system and will be in queue with pre-June applicants.
This is IMHO as always.

Is that so ???
Coz my file number starts with E too...

Thanks

International regions have updated their system. CAIPS is no longer used for the file retention but GCMS. Thats why, new files numbers are starting from E or F.
There is no legal issue in this.
Most of visa offices already shifted to GCMS.

The Global Case Management System (GCMS) is a multi-year program that will replace several aging, archaic and incompatible core business systems of Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) and the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA). The GCMS is an essential secure technology platform upon which to build a modern, global, integrated, information-based solution that will strengthen program integrity, improve efficiency and enhance client service delivery.

GCMS will establish the next-generation business operational environment, and improve flexibility to adapt to future legislative and major program initiatives (e.g., biometrics). GCMS will also facilitate communications and data sharing with the CBSA and with our other partners for the purposes of administrating the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA).

Project Phase: Building on the success of the first deployment of the GCMS in 2004 (the Citizenship Release), the project undertook a re-evaluation of strategies for completion and prepared a revised go-forward plan which reduces risk and delivers considerable business value.
Lead Department: Citizenship and Immigration Canada
Participating Agency: Canada Border Services Agency
Contracting Authority: Public Works and Government Services Canada
Prime Contractor: None (The Department is responsible for system integration.)

Thanks a lot sgcandle.

So it means that Singapore will process total 1100 files which included pre 26/6 and post 26/6 files. Is this correct?

Thanks again.

If this status is correct, then it's either they have sent the PER and it went into your junk mail folder or the PER is on its way. If you haven't heard anything within few weeks. I'll suggest you send case specific inquiry to CIO.

Hi All,

I am in the same boat as jincymaramon, have not received a NER nor PER and my status has changed to Elegibility Review Complete. I really do not know what this means.

In another topic congrats tu nursemich, all the best in your new adventure! =).

Hey Guys :)

I have i problem with e-cas - i can't log in :( I tried with UCI number (then as a Identification Type i chose "Client id number" and also with my app number (starts with E) - then i chose "Immigration file number". I got this info:

We were not able to identify you using the information you provided. There could be three possible reasons:

•Please be sure the information you entered is correct and then try again.
•This service is only available to clients with applications in process. We may have received your application but not yet begun processing it. The following link may help you determine if your application is being processed:
Application Processing Times
•At this time, you may use this on-line service to view the status of your application ONLY if you have:
•sponsored a member of the family class;
•applied for permanent residence from within or outside Canada;
•applied for a permanent resident card (initial, replacement or renewal);
•applied for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship);
•applied for Canadian citizenship for a person adopted by a Canadian citizen (on or after January 1, 1947);
•applied for a citizenship certificate (proof of Canadian citizenship);
•applied to renounce Canadian citizenship; or
•applied to resume Canadian citizenship.

any ideas why i'm not able to log in? My PER is dated february 8.

sorry for mistakes in the post above - i've just waken up :)
I meant i CAN'T log on and i'm not ABLE to log on :)

Hi,

My E-case status change from "In Process" to "Received_by Visa Office"

Thanks.

This is not true at all. The VO information that I posted recently has stated that FSW Cat 2 will be given priority at the VO processing stage over Cat 1 (not at the CIO stage, however) and we are Cat 2 and have a B file number.
I do not think anyone can guess at the B and E issue from nursemich's fortune.
Manila VO is a law unto itself in a good way - maybe they have dealt more efficiently with their backlog (if they had any). Manila does seem to be moving quickly but it has already been said that some VO may not bother with a second AOR and will just go straight to the meds and Police checks notification. Applicants from other VOs should look at nursemich's timescale and be prepared for news to come perhaps out of the blue with no second AOR.
Heartiest congratulations to all those who have had the great news in the last few days.
