My understanding is visa offices only perform employer verification on a small % of cases, probably around 5% or so. This is owing to the large number of applications the visa offices have to process, with the verification process taking around 30 minutes per employer per applicant.

So they will only do this on a small random spotcheck %, to act as a deterrent for anyone forging references, and also if the references they have received have not convinced them and they want further confirmation.

Of the 250+ users on the spreadsheet I think only a handful will get employer verification checks.

So guys, as i said earlier, this letter from Manila VO proves beyond doubt that the PER is actually a PER and there will be no more eligibility check at the VO stage. The word FINAL means FINAL.
