Wayne, can you give me advice, please?!

I applied in October, and no response so far. But, I stated in my application that I am employee of the company since 2006. until present. A month after I sent it, I had to take unpaid leave until May 2011. So, right now I am not working, but plan to start in May again. Should I inform CIO about it?!

Also, I have a new phone number, is that important thing to report to CIO?

I would rather wait to see their move, hoping for PER, but what's your opinion?!

Thank you in advance.

Hi sorry for the delay in replying I read your PM this morning, but I only check PMs every few days and sometimes they get missed.

IMO there is no point in informing CIO of anything, since they are not very good at matching up new information with your file. So the best thing is to wait until you have your PER and then send a case-specific query to your visa office, with your file number, and then inform the visa office of your position.

Changes in your employement circumstances is one of the things they ask you to tell them about. Given that they may phone the employers you listed for verification purposes, you definitely want to let them know of your change in circumstances. You are being assessed on your past experience, not your current employment situation, so I cannot see it affecting the decision, but at least inform the visa office.

Also inform visa office of your change of phone number once you get the PER.

I want to make sure that for the proof of fund i got bank certificate from 2 banks as i have 2 account . Is it ok or need to get it from One only ?

Regards,
Mayank

You can show proof of funding from any number of bank accounts, as long as they are in your name, or in the name of a spouse if the spouse is accompanying you to Canada.

For each bank account you will need to include at least 3 months' bank statements to prove that the money belongs to you and that you are not just borrowing it from someone. Some visa offices prefer 6 months so you may wish to check with other users who have applied via the same visa office as you.

Best of luck,
Wayne.

Hi guys, I have been complaining about removing my name from the list on the spreadsheet.

Anyway, I got my PER on 31/1/2011 (dated 21 January 2011) but I wasn't able to see it as there was no internet in Egypt for 5 days.

I can't check my status online, donno why ...

Hi Raquel,

I am sorry to hear about your returned application. I am guessing this was due to the NOC cap being filled?

I will sort the spreadsheet out when I get my lunch break at work.

This isn't the end. You can look into getting a job offer or provincial nomination, or simply wait a few months until July and then apply again if 1122 is still on the list.

Wayne.

Thanks for your kindy words. Indeed Its not the end of the road. I will find other way to get to my dreams :)

The reason for the returned application was cause it was received after de cap was reached. (My application arrived at 28th Oct, 3.28 pm...a few hours before and it maybe be under the cap...who knows...! Anyway!)

Best of luck to all of you! See you in Canada!! Somewhere, Somehow!!! :)

If you're checking just about now ... E-Cas seems to be down ... GCMS coming up? Too Early to rejoice?

As I understand matters all applications received on the same day will be counted towards the cap if the cap wasn't reached at the start of the day. Fairly sure I read something official from cic about this, but unsure where! Otherwise this would unfairly penalise applicants whose couriers made their delivery later in the day than other couriers. This means that technically the cap can go over 1000 by a few.

So I think the cap must have been filled by the end of 27th October.

There is no way they will allow direct public access to the GCMS. If they change from ECAS it be some kind of staging system where they copy data from GCMS at certain intervals, and that staged system is what we log into.

But yeah I can't log into ECAS either, after the first screen, and that's the first time since we've had access I can remember that happening. Could just be that their ECAS server is down and not related to GCMS at all though!

I would be very interested to see if it has changed for those who have received 2nd AORs from visa office, once it is back up and running.

Over optimistic as usual .... Very well then :D

Hi guys. For everyone who got their 2nd PER. Is it that you cantacted your visa office before getting the 2nd PER information or did you randomly receive a 2nd PER?
