Hello everyone.

Unfortunately bad news for me... although they were predictable.
My application was returned yesterday by mail.

Wayne, please remove me form the list and include me in the returned applications sheet.

At least I've already a final answer on this process..The waiting was killing me!

Wish you all the best and... be patient!!!

Hi Raquel,

I am sorry to hear about your returned application. I am guessing this was due to the NOC cap being filled?

I will sort the spreadsheet out when I get my lunch break at work.

This isn't the end. You can look into getting a job offer or provincial nomination, or simply wait a few months until July and then apply again if 1122 is still on the list.

Wayne.

Im quite nervous because Manila applicants who applied after me got their 2nd AOR already, and I am left behind with those who have been requested to submit their GT IELTS. I just hope this is not something negative. I hope to get my 2nd AOR tomorrow or until next week :)

I can not check my application status online... Does anyone have this problem?

Well you only recently got your PER so it may take a while before you can check your status online. Currently they are incredibly inaccurate and telling everyone that their medical results have been received. So at the moment you're not missing much ;)

They are updated every Tuesday so just keep checking each Wednesday morning.

Hey Wayne,

Thanks for the extra "2nd AOR" column!!!! +1 from me! :D

Thanks Wayne for your reply... Waiting doesn't seem so strange to me ;D

Wayne, can you give me advice, please?!

I applied in October, and no response so far. But, I stated in my application that I am employee of the company since 2006. until present. A month after I sent it, I had to take unpaid leave until May 2011. So, right now I am not working, but plan to start in May again. Should I inform CIO about it?!

Also, I have a new phone number, is that important thing to report to CIO?

I would rather wait to see their move, hoping for PER, but what's your opinion?!

Thank you in advance.

Technically you are still employed by the company. You will cease employment only if you resign or you are relived of your duty by your employer. So i dont think you need to inform CIC at all. If you get your 2nd AOR and you are still on unpaid leave, you will have to talk to your HR guy and let him know that CIC will call and you can tell them that you work there but are currently on leave. Thats all.

2nd AOR is big news indeed! I think they are quoting standard timeframes, and sounds like they are using pre-June-26 timeframes when quoting. Post-June-26 timeframes should be different because much of the work has already been done.

Also I think they do not send the AOR until they actually begin the processing (security/background checks etc). I understand the checks usually take around 30 days for a straight forward case. Therefore we might expect the first medical requests by around mid-March.

Some visa offices will be slower than others I think. London (our visa office) are reputed to be quite slow so it might be a while before we get an AOR. We got our PER 15th December 2010 and nothing yet.

Wayne.

Thanks for your idea and frankly, for me,it is sound logical..Cheers!!!

hi nursemich..i sent you a pm..:-)

Hi,

Did you guys check ecas before you received your 2nd AOR from VO on the 1st of Feb??? Did it say anything like "We have reviewed your application and have begun processing on ____ date (being the date you received your PER)?

Please clarify so that at least our brains work in the right direction. Many of us have received our PER's as far back as almost 70 days and no communication, so just a little curious.

Thanks

Regards
