Hi Forum mates,
Please update my info. Application received date Jan 6,11. NOC 3111, VO New Delhi, BD encashed on Jan 21, 11.
Thanks.

Hey all,

"Protected B" is just a level of security classification used by Canadian government agencies. On most forms that contain personal information you will see "Protected B (when completed)
The level is similar to "confidential" but then at the personal level (as opposed to government or country level)
Apparently RCMP has the following definition:
Protected B - Particularly Sensitive: (applies to information that, if compromised, could reasonably be expected to cause serious injury outside the national interest and often include information, which if released, would reasonably compromise individual privacy e.g., loss of reputation or competitive advantage.

I think it might be slightly different for the Defense Forces and different still for other agencies like CIC...but the general meaning is the same.

In short: nothing to do with the process of immigration itself.
Sorry it's not more spectacular :)

Kris

Interesting CalVdS, learn something new every time I come here ;D

Anyway, it's the beginning of a new month. Really hoping we get some medical requests before the month ends :)

Hi everybody,

First I would like to thank you all for sharing your information with everybody and making one feel that is not alone in these long, kind of painful hehe, process. I am new to this forum, and I was browsing through a lot of postings and it is very moving to read such words of encouragement and hope. If possible I would like that you guys add me to the spreadsheet list, here is my info.

Name: Salvador1981
NOC: 0811
Visa Office: Buffalo
Application Received by CIO: 30-Sep-2010
Payment Method (CC or BD): CC
CC/BD encashed:05-Oct-2010

I have not yet received a PER/AOR, I do hope this comes soon as I am starting to get some doubts if it is going to go through or not. On another note, about the Police certificates, I have submitted a copy of one out of the two required. The other one has a short duration from the date of issue so I am hopping to submitt it if, and hopefully, I receive my PER. In any case thank you so much for sharing all the info, and I hope everybody achieves their goals. Keep the faith! ;D

As much as I would love that, I think it's very optimistic. IMO first medicals will be end of March, start of April.

When i write my UCI number they say it is wrong and should be in the format B000000000

What t ype of Identification mumber you choose?
Cur-Rozen,
When you will check with UCI numbers of 8 digit, you should mension file type as 'Cliant ID" not 'Immigration file no'.
Best of luck

Hi, guys! Checked my e mail today, I got my 2nd AOR dated Feb. 1,2011 from Manila Visa office. My PER was dated Jan. 5.

Hi...

We're about to submit our application but we got confused with the question "will accompany to Canada"..

WE have two kids and we've included them in the application. If God's good and our application been approved and be given visas, we are planning to leave them in our country until we get settled in Canada and before their issued visas expired.

The question is, should we put them as accompanying or non-accompanying? they are coming with us upon initial landing, if we're lucky to have visas in the future...

Thanks!
