Hey Everybody,

I was going thru the May 2010 forum and their spreadsheet ...

75% of May applicants got their AOR in Oct, sent full docs to the VO by dec / jan (old procedure i guess) and are awaiting the second AOR.

25% of them got their AOR in Aug / Sep, and their second AOR between nov - jan.

If we were to compare the timelines (although the procedure of sending full docs in somewhat removed now), my best guess is that it would take somewhere between 4 -6 months to receive further communication from the VO - of course all this depends on case load and I guess the, VO.

Any comments?

well it depends i would say. When i enquired my VO about their processing times, they told me that it's 3-4 months after they get all documents.

@ canady,
Great point you noticed.
This is good news for the people with AOR in hand.
It means VO will not take much time to put mapple leaf in PP, providing Medical, PCC are delivered correctly.
Hmm as I was thinking, that once POST June applications start hitting VO, rest of the process will sooner than anticipated.
Yeeeehoooo......Buckle up boys, you need a plane to catch to mapple leaf country.

I am not quite sure from your post if your time worked out to 32 hours a week, or if you actually worked 32 hours a week over a year and a half??? If you can prove that you worked at least 1950 hours in that year and a half, CIO should accept full time equivalent!!!! I think you have a case to ask them to reopen your application. Did you state the exact number of hours or is there a chance they just noticed 32 hours a week and didn't take into consideration the additional hours in the second year? (Just a reminder I am not an expert, just trying to be helpful.)
Oh, Pippin! I totally understand that you're trying to help. I really appreciate that. The thing is: nurses in Hong Kong get references and contracts from Human Resources Department. Those documents are usually "laconic". We asked - they gave, they did this in way they do it. I meant I worked 32 hours a week over a year and a half. Even with my 10 week maternity leave the total number of hours for this period exceeds 1950 hours. Tomorrow I will ask HK to give me a job description. I hope I will be able to get it and then write another explanatory letter and mail to CIC, indicating the initials of the officer of my case (there's no name. I hope my message will reach him and he will not be annoyed. Thank you for your tips. I am open to other new ideas.

v_jawale,

R u sure about the dates?? or r u a FSW2 applicant?? or do u qualify for any other NOC as well???
Coz for NOC 1122, cap reached on Oct 28th (or Oct 29th)......n all the applications under this NOC post this date have been returned.....

Anyways, for your dates, u r not likely to hear from them until mid-March.........

Hi guys,
weird thing happed, when I checked my application using ecase system on 26-09-2011 (the day I got my PER) I got this message
"We received your application for permanent residence on September 23, 2010."

today I rechecked my status and the medical result appear in my application
"We received your application for permanent residence on September 23, 2010.
Medical results have been received.
"

what do you think?
Saif

hi dear s_sab
Dont worry about the medical resuld. Thats the common mistake by CIC. Every one who is able to log on to the website are getting the same thing. So you dont need to worried about it. It will be ok when ever they update the software or website or when ever any one bring in notice to CIC people
Thanks
Satish

Hello Everybody ;D .....

Days before I got my PER last January 27, 2010, my status in the ECAS says IN PROCESS and that they received my application last September 24, 2010, nothing about the medical thing.... Now that I got my PER, I re-checked my status and lo and behold :o , now there's an additional info saying that the medical results was already received..... that's only a three day gap for the additional info in the ECAS regarding medicals that they "supposedly" received.....

This is with everybody. On day1-2 in process and afterwards medicals received. I believe CIC will take atleast 1 month to transfer file to VO and VO will take atleast 2 months to start processing. So medicals should be atleast 4-5 months from PER.

This is purely my opinion.

;)
