Give this phone number a try, it has worked for me. 1-613-944-4000 Be prepared to wait online for 20+ minutes. They say it is quieter on Thurs/Fri. Office hrs from 8-4 Eastern Time
Good luck

Thanks Pippin.
I really do appreciate it.

I agree with Wayne, it is an additional headache, but so is checking monthly to see if people are active. Would a compromise be to leave people in the list until it appears they are out of sync with those around them, then check if they have been active/PM. If not, they get zapped to the inactive sheet awaiting their bleat.
Quiet night there, Wayne? No Double Diamond or Baby Cham on the bar top? No sorry, that's a bottle of red....have a good w/end.

Sorry but bottom line is if people cannot be bothered to spent 30 seconds per month keeping active on the thread then I am not prepared to waste my time keeping their spreadsheet details up to date.

I don't wish to sound harsh but that's what it boils down to :) We want the list to represent active users.

Wayne.

I second that, Wayne. You and few others are the most active (both quality and quantity wise) posters and its not difficult to assume that u guys spend considerable time in updating the post/tracker.....

Anyways, u are not completely throwing out the inactive users.........a lil disincentive always works :-) -- 3-4 inactive users replied immd.......and I think a complete tracker helps in spotting trends/aberrations which may help other users with their application

As you rightly say, we are not deleting their entries we are simply archiving them to another page so that the live tracker represents the most up to date information. It is a small matter to transfer them back to the live tracker should they decide to actively contribute to the thread once more (and I think 1 post per month isn't too much activity to ask), and then ensures the information is as reliable as possible.

So again, another day at CIO and no result for Rina, carl128 and me.
Have a happy rest of birthday, Rina.
Let's keep hoping that next week will be ours. :)

Hey guys,
I'm new here. Could someone tell me how someone is informed of their PER?
Is it strictly via email, mail or both?
thank you

Congrats Raj on you PER.

Hi Kambooozia,
Welcome to this great forum.
From the experience of people in this forum, PER has been via email only.
At least for now.

Shalom

Don't give up queencougar... PER will come, even in 158 days! ;) I hope you won't wait as long as we did...

Hi always+ve,

I have a suggestion, i don't know if you have already done it or not. You can send an email to The CIO to inform them about your case as follows:

1) I am a post June 2010 applicant, got the PER & my file number is B########
2) I have sent an email to my VO asking for the status & got a WEIRD reply (that i have to submit documents within 120) & attach the VO email.
3) I need a clarification since the reply i have got from the VO is contradicting with CIC new instructions regarding the post June 2010 applicants which shaves out the 120 days, WHAT SHALL I DO ?

I have sent an enquiry to my VO regarding status of my application. Let's see what is their reply.

hello dear fellow

i have rarely quoted here though this blog has provided a lot of information thanks every one for ur truthful suggestions....

I made many quaries regarding D O Birth certificate....now the outcome is here with me.....

I applied on 20 sep under 3152 R N category

Couldnt get any idea about my BD encashment (though never bothered to contact my banker)

today i check a spam message.....regarding my PER dated 11 jan

I have also received my PER

thanks u very body for ur sincere efforts

I submitted only my matriculation certificate for myself and my spouse without any affidavit and got a positive review......

cheers
Dear Raj.........

Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!

I too have send the application with 10th class certificate for DOB proof for me and my spouse. You have recieved PER with the same documents in your application....... Hope I will aslo get PER.........

Thanks for the suggestion... I did write a mail to CIO though initially i was in 2 minds whether after receiving my PER should involve the CIO again and create confusion but then i went ahead and informed them about this confusion as well. I made it a point to mention that i have received a positive final determination of eligibility. Hope it does not create a confusion, as they may have hopefully transfered the file to VO and they dont have any of my documents. If it is so i will be in a bigger soup. Lets hope for the best

Regards
