Wanted to share with you my positive feelings about education experience for future job in Canada.
I have applied for distance learning in Athabasca University for Marketing specialty. It is so inspiring and promising!!! From 1 January I started my study. I received printed materials (book, Canadian edition). I would like to say its quality is far far higher than in my country books we have. All marketing examples and Canada market oriented. Very interesting!

When I will apply for the job (I plan to do it before landing), I will point it in my CV as Canadian experience/education. And I think it will help me pretty much with future employment.

I suggest to everybody who can afford this and have no internet problem to start doing Canadian education from home country!

I was just wondering about the two stages Completeness check and Eligibility Review...why would CIC want to charge the applicant without doing eligibility Review...can seniors please explain...cheers.
They want to see if the payment works. That means they will get paid if the applicant is eligible. Sometimes the payment system doesnt work (mostly related to CC payments) and so non payment is one criteria of rejection (there was a forum member whose applocation was rejected for that).

Hi Cur Rozen,

did they ask you for IELTS and are Masters program available online?

Thanks

Manny

does the refund of the processing fee mean that your BD will be return & can still be credited back to your account? hope somebody can elighten me on this.

yes...if your bd is not encashed and your application is returned, they will send the same bd back to you. you can get the amount credited to you account through some simple bank procedures.

Dear mperei02,

One of the reason is that your fee is part of the completeness check. There can be problems with your fee: wrong Credit card number, expired Bank Draft, insufficient funds etc. They are not ready to start time and human resources consuming proccess of Eligibility without being sure you will be able to pay this fee.

No, your english ability is your concern. If you have enough skills to submit your assessments and understand the study materials, it is ok with them.
You choose the course or program you want to study, pay fee, receive all the materials and start!

The only thing that if you want to do separate courses, you have to study introductory course first, before learning more sophisticated courses in this domain. And probably if you want to do master degree you have to show that you have relative education in bachelors.

The application is not considered complete unless the payment is done :). They only consider an application for processing if it has passed all aspects of completeness.

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

I made an inquiry on my application that I submitted last Dec 1, 2010. As expected their reply was " Please be advised that your application was returned via mail as it was found to be incomplete".

I submitted a expired IELTS. I am getting ready to take another IELTS so I will have the results as soon as I receive my incomplete application back.

@ Kuwabunsi.
Pls how does one make enquiries from the CIO about applications submitted.
Thanks

Hello everyone.

First of all congratulations for the ones who received their PERs!

Unfortunately I'm farway behind that stage... CIO received my application on the 28th October (NOC 1122), but so far my CC was not charged neither the application was returned.
I send an enquiry throught the web page to the CIO on the 23rd Dec but no answer so far..

Yesterday I called CIO call centre and they told me that CIO is still processing applications reveived on the 13th October and suggested that I should call again within 2 or 3 weeks....

I so frustrated about this...not having any news by now, must not be a good sign...

Any thoughts about my situation, guys?

Regards,
Raquel
