Applications after 26/6 in any NOC CONNECT HERE TO GET THE STATUS

I had the dubious pleasure of spending my time on hold and finally talking to Call Centre this morning. They still cannot confirm whether the second application sent in early November has been received (it was sent to replace the one CIO admitted they had lost in their office in July). "Names do not go on the alphabetical list until the packages are opened. Presently, they are opening applications received 13 October." I hope this information is of use to someone as it left me feeling pretty flat!
On a happier note: Congrats Cam!

Dear Pippin,

I would never advise anyone to call the call center. Those people have no idea about any thing. One day before i have received the PER, i called them to ask about my application and their answer was: we have no records for you.
If you want an answer, send an email query to the CIC directly.

Question for the board:

My PCCs become over three months old on Jan 15, so basically I have a week to send them to VO. But there is probably no record of me at VO and they probably wouldn't know what to do with the documents... Do you think it would be wise to make a copy of my PER and send it with my PCCs to VO?

Haha! I'm experiencing the exact same thing but I thought it was 'PER expectancy' withdrawal symptoms!!! I'm still doing what I was before getting my PER even though I am not expecting to see anything else for a while now. Anyway, on a more serious note, I agree with everyone else, it can't hurt to send them the PCCs you have already with a cover letter and a copy of your PER. The worst case scenario would be that they will tell you they can't accept it and you will have to apply for a fresh set.

On a more serious note, as the Post Traumatic Per Syndrome (PTPS) is advancing, I am uncovering new symptoms. These are, in no particular order:

- A smile that appears on your face for no apparent reason, and disappears... Very much like this ;D
- In between the unexpected smiles, you do this

Sadly we are all addicted and are in dire need of a final antidote and nothing would do us any good but a PR !

Nice Thread. very helpful. So I finally sent my application to the VO today by Fedex, should arrive by Tuesday. Here's the bummer, i just found out now that the payment form had been recently modified to include CVV. I obviously sent in the old form. I had completed all the forms ready to go for weeks but held on because I was waiting fr one of my transcripts. So I didn't realized they were changed in the main time. The question is would CIO accept the old form or would they send back my application.

I am not sure anyone will know if they will return it, sadly, 9jcanada. It depends how picky they are being at the time.
This just gives weight to the advice to check the forms regularly and especially just before you submit, because CIC do update the forms form time to time and they give no warning. The forms have dates on the bottom and they will expect the newest version of the forms when they receive a submission. I hope they are feeling lenient when they receive your application, 9jcanada and that it doesn't matter.

I hope for good news for Rina, Carl128 and me today to release the tension we have been suffering. PER today would be fair - others a week behind us in submission have already been lucky, so it must be our turn soon. :-*
