Wow indeed! The momentum is building up. Congratulations to all who have received their PER, and all the best to those in waiting.

The resubmission of documents within the 120 days issue seem odd; when one of the reason why the changes were made, as is mentioned in CIC's website, was to eliminate it! - http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/faq/immigrate/skilled/changes-fsw-faq09.asp.

Cheers.

Dear FMA,

As a pre-June applicant, please tell me when you got the request to submit the full documents to your VO, did the VO request the originals or photocopies. During the entire process of immigration till you settled in Canada, did anyone (CIC offices) ask you to submit your original documents or you just submit notarized photocopies ? ? ?

If CIC will not send me an email today regarding the status of my apllication whether its PER or rejection letter i ll try to send them an email and ask what happened to my documents? Caan anyone send me their email ad? hope yo can help me with this guys!

Dear canady

Thanks for putting your question to me.

Pre June applicants

I have submitted all notarized copies of my certificates to CIO sydney along with application. After getting AOR they asked me to submit all documents along with original IELTS,PCC to VO within 120 days.

complete set of documents whcih I sent to CIO + Original IELTS, PCC, Transcripts, Original experience certificates, and payslips sent to VO. they took 45 days in my case to decide and sent me request to send original passports + medical. that's it.

No one asked me for original educational certificates to submit. process was very smooth and hope it will be in future as well.

Now I assume that they will ask all post june applicants to send againg complete set of documents which they sent to CIO along with PCC. As I am not sure about post june, I hope Anil and Wayne can put light on that.

Ok, to the very best of my knowledge nobody will be required to submit any documents in addition to the original documents and notarized documents already provided with the original application.

Varies slightly from visa office to visa office, but generally:

Originals = PCC, IELTS, university transcripts, proof of funds, work experience letters

Notarized copies = passport bio page, birth certificates, marriage certificates, employment contracts, university degree certificates ec

Visa office should not ask you to send originals of the documents you have already provided notarized copies for. They want to be responsible for the bare minimum of original documentation as they can, and this also saves costs at the end since they only send you back your original documents, not your notarized copies.

If anything is unclear or they suspect there may be some forgery involved, then they may ask for further documentation, but this is on a case by case basis and is not usual.

IMO for the majority of post-June-26 applicants the next thing they will hear from visa office will either be a confirmation that they have received your paper file and have started processing your case, or it will be medical requests. Or for those people who have not provided PCC they will probably ask for this just prior to issuing medical requests.

My 2 cents,
Wayne.

Also, I think another positive is that they must be expecting most cases to be finalised within 12 months of the application originally being received by CIO.

This is because they started to say do not include your PCC with your application. Then they changed this to ADVISE you to include it, but you may omit it and include it at PCC stage.

Now, the main reason for this being optional IMO is to not unfairly advantage applicants wanting to get within the cap for whom getting a PCC get take several months. But they want you to include it if possible. The PCC is only valid for 12 months, so this means they must be expecting at least most cases to be finalised before 12 months from the received date.

Wayne.

As per earlier AOR it was clearly mentioned about 120 days things.

In new PER they have clearly mentioned that your file is transfered to your VO.

The people in ND VO may be just the call center or they are not updated with the post 26 rule and replying just what they know about pre 26 June process.

The First PER came on 23 Nov 2010.

Let us take another 3 weeks, the documents to reached the local VO. By the time 3 weeks were over it was 15 Dec 2010, the time of Seasons greetings. I hope the VO should start communicating in next 15 days time now. In case no news across the world (from the members who got PER) it means everything is normal no need to submit any document. In case a single person gets a request to submit the documents then it becomes a matter of concern

I've just received my much waited PER now. It's dated 13th december 2010. I made a enquiry on 18th then i got a reply stating they already sent my assessment letter without saying what was the result. Then I've requested to resend the letter on 23rd ; I got a reply on 5th jan saying they will send it within 5 working days (again without stating any positive or negative result). Well I care less about what they replied earlier as long as I got my PER today. And my DD was encashed on 9th September.
Congrats to all of you who have recieved their PER and wishing all the members here get a positive resuld soon. And big thanks to all the members who made the forum so resourcefull and live.

congrates ,

Also we touched 10,000 posts, thanks to everyone for valuable inputs shared. Perhaps people here know more then any one in the world.

More then information it is like holding each other hand and crossing the river.

Congrats! The longest awaited PER :) :) :) Relax and extend your new year celebration :) Sometimes, contacting the CIO helps more than just waiting in the dark :P
